Introduction
IMAGE
Sweet phones Carl to inform him of his mother's tragic death. Carl begins a journey back to Los Santos. He is greeted by Officer Tenpenny, a crooked cop who has been bullying CJ since before his leave for Liberty City. Tenpenny and his fellow officers, Pulaski and Hernandez, take Carl for a ride. Carl claims that he is clean -- that he is no longer involved with gangs. The officers want something from CJ but when they want it, they will find him. Meanwhile, CJ is thrown from a moving car into Front Yard Ballas territory, a close rival of Grove Street's. Hop on the BMX bicycle in front of you. Begin pedalling, tapping 'X' rapidly to build up momentum. Cycle to the Johnson house by following the 'CJ' icon on the radar. Enter the red marker to trigger the cutscene and progress with the story.

Big SmokeIMAGE
Start this mission by entering the red marker at the Johnson house. Carl decides to refresh his memory by looking at old photos of the Johnson family. Smoke enters the room with a baseball bat, preparing to whack CJ. He realises who it is, and gives a short welcome before driving CJ to the cemetery to meet his brother. Carl meets up with Ryder, Kendl and Sweet. Kendl is glad to see him, but Sweet is still angry that he moved to Liberty City and abandoned his friends and family. The brothers argue, and Kendl leaves to meet her boyfriend Cesar, which Sweet is also unhappy about. Sweet describes the poor situation that Grove Street are in, before leaving the cemetery. The Ballas perform an unexepcted drive-by shooting, destroying Smoke's car. Hop on the bicycle and follow Sweet, repeatedly tapping 'X' to build up momentum. You must maintain a fast speed, as the Ballas will drive along side you and shoot at you constantly. Follow Sweet to the Mulholland Intersection and the homies will split up to avoid the Ballas attack. Smoke and Ryder are waiting. Follow Ryder through the narrow streets, back to the grove, and stop in the red marker.
*Sweet calls and gives you the details of whats been happening while you were gone. The Seville Boulevard Families and the Temple Drive Families were beefing. Whilst this was happening, Ballas and Vagos took over.

RyderIMAGE
CJ meets Ryder, an old friend very passionate about the Orange Grove Families. Their chat takes places in front of the Badfellas poster (a poster advertising a fictional movie; also appears in GTA3 & Vice City). The owner of Well Stacked Pizza has dis-respected the Orange Grove Families, by clearing the gang graffiti tag from his walls. Ryder invites CJ to pay a visit to the owner, and teach him a harsh lesson. Hop into the pick-up truck outside Ryder's house, and head off to the pizza store. Before arriving, you have the opportunity to get a haircut at Old Reece's hair facial studio. The couple enter the pizza store, and CJ distracts the owner by ordering 'The Full Rack', the largest meal on the menu. Ryder enters the store in disguise. The owner knows that it is Ryder because he looks so small, and brandishes a 12-gauge shotgun, forcing the pair to leg it. Return to the neighbourhood.

Tagging up TurfIMAGE
Ryder tells you to go and see Sweet, who is playing basketball with Smoke. You must let the Ballas know that you are back on the set, so it's time to tag up some turf. After the cutscene, notice you'll have an unlimited spray can. Get in Sweet's car and drive to Idlewood. Sweet demonstrates how it's done, and sprays the Grove Street tag over that of the Front Yard Ballas. Now it's your turn. 2 new blips appear on your radar. Follow them, and begin tagging -- one is on front of a house, and the other is on a wall behind the that house. Those were easy, now let's move onto the next level. Drive towards East Los Santos -- Ballas territory. Spray the tag on the wall with the mural.

Goto the next location, and notice 2 Ballas guarding their territory. They will attack you as soon as you begin spraying their tag. You have an option -- you can kill the Ballas before spraying over their tag (you can poison them using the spray can) or you can spray the tag and do a quick runner. The next tag is on a roof. Jump over both fences by using the 'Square' button, and climb onto the section of wall that juts out. From there, climb onto the wall, locate the tag and being spraying. After all 6 tags are sprayed, get in Sweet's car (you can jump off the roof without losing any health) and drive back to the Grove to complete the mission.

*After completing this mission you will recieve a phonecall from Officer Hernandez. Carl hurls abuse at the officer, calling him "their bitch" (referring to Tenpenny and Pulaski). Hernandez demands respect, and forwards a message from Officer Tenpenny: Carl musn't leave Los Santos. If you do decide to leave the city, you'll gain a 4 star wanted level.

lCeaning the HoodIMAGE
Sweet and Smoke are discussing the terrible state of the hood. It's time to take out the drug dealers that are ruining Grove Street, but you'll need backup. Go with Ryder to meet B-Dup and Big Bear. B-Dup refuses to help and is said to have drfited apart from gangbanging and into "other activies". Big Bear, a Grove Street legend, is clearly in need of help because of drug abuse. Locate the dealer, who is witnessed selling goods to one of your homies. The dealer carries a baseball bat, but nothing to worry about -- a few punches should get rid of him. Ryder recognises the dealer. He used to run with a Front Yard Ballas OG. Head over to the dealer's place in Idlewood. The house is occupied by ballas, dealers and hookers. Make sure there are no survivors. Once the place is clean of anybody that may cause a threat the hood, head back to Grove Street with Ryder. Now the Ballas know that Grove Street are back on their feet -- mission complete.

Drive-ThruIMAGE
Respect has to be earned, just like money. But screw that for now, it's time to eat something. Ryder suggests Tacos, but Smoke wins with his suggestion -- chicken. Drive your homies to the Cluckin' Bell Drive-Thru in Willowfield. During the journey, Carl asks how moms got killed. Ryder explains that they were going for Sweet and that they accidently killed moms. He also explains that some people saw a green sabre doing the work, and then speeding off. When you reach the Cluckin' Bell, drive into the red marker. Carl and Ryder order a No.9, Sweet asks for a No.6 with extra dip, and Smoke goes for two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda. A Ballas car is seen driving towards the hood.

Your objective is to chase down the gang car before they cap your homies. After the cutscene, speed after the Ballas and drive along side them. Sweet and Ryder will automatically lean out of the window and shoot at them, but Smoke is determined to eat. If you have a gun, you can lend Sweet and Ryder a hand. Press the L2 and R2 buttons to look left and right, and shoot at the Ballas. Once the vehicle catches fire, the Ballas will flee. You can let Sweet and Ryder finish them off, or you can simply drive over them.

*After this mission you will recieve a phone call from Sweet. If you don't respect your body, ain't nobody going to respect you. Pack on some muscle at the local gym.

Nines and AKsIMAGE
Grove Street have no weapons. Other gangs have have Macs and AKs whereas Grove Street have nothing. Carl suggests visiting Emmet, but even Emmet aint got nothing, says Sweet. Emmet is with the Seville Boulevard Families, they aren't too close with Grove Street. Despite this, Smoke is willing to pay a visit with you. Drive to Emmet's with Smoke, and stop in the red marker. Emmet isn't the brightest of people. At first he thinks you are Brian Johnson, although he knows fine well that Brian was killed 5 years ago. Emmet has been serving the community for 30 years. CJ and Smoke aren't impresed when they see what Emmet has to offer, but it will do for now.

Time for a small tutorial. Watch Smoke blast a few bottles, and repeat his actions. The first level involves shooting whilst standing, and the second involves shooting whilst crouching. After all the bottles have been eliminated, use manual aim to shoot the gas tank on Emmet's car. Take Smoke back to his crib. Learn more about the weapons in San Andreas here.

*Sweet calls you on your cellphone. You must show your loyalty to the Grove by wearing Grove Street colours. Travel to the nearby Binco and enter the store. You don't actually need to buy anything, but it's worth having a look around. Learn more about clothes here.

Drive-ByIMAGE
Ryder is complaining to Sweet about how he is a better driver than CJ. CJ walks in unexpectantly and overhears the conversation. Sweet explains that Ryder is a great shootist, so we need CJ on the wheel. Ryder agrees, and the group head outside. Get in Sweet's car with your homies, and drive into Ballas territory to cause a disturbance. Stop in the red marker, and look at the on-screen instructions. There are a group of Ballas standing at the corner of the street. Concentrate on driving, and let the rest do the shooting. Drive alongside the Ballas and Smoke, Sweet and Ryder will automatically lean out of the car and shoot. Keep an eye on your vehicle's health meter. If it runs out, the car will blow up and the mission is failed. Use the L2 and R2 buttons to look left or right.

Once all of the Ballas are wasted, a new blip will appear on your radar. Waste another 4 sets of Ballas (the final group are in Glen Park) and you'll gain a 2 star wanted level. Head over to the Pay n' Spray shop in Idlewood, being careful as to not damage your vehicle. Drive back to the Grove to complete this mission. You're down with the Grove and Ballas know it, so watch yourself.

Sweet's GirlIMAGE
Carl enters Sweet's house, and calls his name. The house is completely empty - no sign of Sweet, Ryder or Big Smoke. When he leaves the house, Carl's cellphone starts ringing. It's Sweet, and he's pinned down at his girlfriend's house by the Seville Boulevard Families. Sweet and his girl need a ride out of there, fast. After the cutscene, Sweet's health bar will appear on-screen. You must get to Sweet and take out the Seville Boulevard Families before his health bar is empty. You can drop by Emmet's to get heated but if you already have a plentiful supply of ammo, there's no need.

When you arrive at the girlfriend's flat, Sweet is surrounded. Take those seville boys out! The easiest way would be to simply drive over them, but you'll need to exit your vehicle to take out the final enemy, who is standing on the steps. Once no Seville boys remain, Sweet rings you on your cellphone. Fetch a 4 door car to pick up Sweet and his girl. After the cutscene, 3 cars come speeding around the corner, and the Seville boys are preparing for a chase. Get Sweet and his girl safely back to the hood, to complete the mission.

*You can now recieve missions from Ryder. Visit him between 12.00 and 20.00

This mission (and the next) is available later on in the game. Sweet calls to say that some base-head has been buying drugs from Glen Park and supplying them to your Grove Street brothers. He's hanging out with his new Ballas friends at the moment. Walk into the red marker at Ammu-Nation. If you need any weapons, now is the time to get them. Head over to Glen Park, which is higlighted in purple on the radar. This means that it is Ballas territory. Attack and kill at least 3 Ballas gang members (on foot) to provoke a gang war. The area now flashes red on the radar. You must survive 3 waves of attacks. Some of the Ballas will carry baseball bats, whilst others will cary powerful guns. Stand in the middle of the park so that you can see clearly where the enemy is coming from, and then if possible, shoot from a distance. Once you have killed the 3rd wave of enemies, the territory is yours and is now shown as green on the radar.

You have flushed the grass. He runs out of his house screaming 'Tenpenny set me up!' Kill him, to complete the mission. Winning territory will gain you respect and money. The money appears in front of your garage at Grove Street. However, don't spend too much time winning territory (unless you are really desperate for money) as the feature is disabled after 'Green Sabre', until the final missions of the game. Los SepulcrosIMAGE
Tenpenny has informed Sweet that a funeral is taking place for a Ballas gang member that you shot down during the mission 'Drive-By'. All of the OG's will be there so Sweet wants to hit them all at once as revenge for the Ballas drive-by at Moms funeral. Recruit the two homies with the blue arrows above their heads -- they respect you enough to provide help. To do this, target them with R1 and press 'Up' or 'Down' on the D-pad. Get in the car with your gang and take them to the funeral. The plan is to go around the back of Los Sepulcros and sneak over the wall. You must get there within 4 minutes (4 gameplay hours). Drive to the cemetry before Kane arrives, and stop in the red marker. After the cutscene, climb the wall and approach Sweet and his men. Kill Kane -- do not let him get away! Once Kane is dead, kill any remaining Ballas and get in Sweet's car. Drive him home.

Cesar VialpandoIMAGE
Once again, Sweet is arguing with his sister Kendl. Sweet doesn't like the fact that Kendl is dating Cesar of the Varios Los Aztecas, a rival gang. Sweet wants you to follow Kendl and check out Cesar, to make sure that she isn't making a huge mistake. When you have control over CJ, goto the garage in Willowfield. Sweet called ahead and asked his friend [who owes Sweet big time because of a past incident] to give CJ a car that bounces. Whilst in the car, backup into the garage. You now have a chance to modify your ride, although it isn't absolutely necessary. Press L3 to lock the car's hydraulics in place. Move the right analog stick to control the hydraulic suspension and press R3 to make it hop. Get to the lowrider meeting at Unity Station, El Corona. Drive into the red marker. You have 3 options: Increase Wager, Decrease Wager and Proceed. The minimum wager is $50 and the maximum is $1000. If you lose this contest, the money that you are betted will be lost to the opposition.

A series of directions will be shown across the screen. You must move the right analog stick in the direction shown, exactly as it passes through the circle on the middle of the screen. Try and not let the music put you off -- concentrate on the circle. For every bad move, points are added to the opposition. After successfully winning this contest, a short cutscene will take place. Kendl is delighted with your performance in the lowrider challenge, and Cesar introduces himself. Carl demands that he take his hands off his sister, but after some discussion, he agrees to give Cesar a chance. One of the Varios boys tries to pick a fight with CJ, but Cesar holds him off.

*Cesar calls, and asks if you'd like to make some extra money. He invites you take part in a lowrider street racing competition. Goto the marker in El Corona if you're interested.

High Stakes, LowriderIMAGE
You need to be in a lowrider car for this mission. Choose one that doesn't contain hydraulics. Hydraulics increase the difficulty of this mission by a mile (if you accidently trigger the hydraulics while racing, the vehicle becomes difficult to control and may flip). Cesar and Kendl comment on your choice of vehicle -- very impressive, they say. Follow Cesar to the starting point of the race, and park in the red marker. Keep a close eye on the radar, and race through each of the red markers. If you look closely, each marker contains an arrow pointing in the direction of the next marker. To put it simple, the other racers are pathetic. There's no need to race full speed in this mission. Take your time, and you will make less faults (one fault can cause a huge amount of damage). When you reach the marker at the Santa Maria pier, keep your foot on the pedal and race full speed towards the end of the pier, to ensure a victory. You must finish in 1st place to pass this mission. (If you happen to lose this race, Kendl will make a very childish phone call)

Home InvasionIMAGE
Ryder seems anxious. He can't remember where he put "the water" in his back yard, so he's desperately scrapping about. He needs some before he "deals" with things. Ryder's homie LB tells him that an army guy (Colonel Fuhrberger) has all the weapons that Grove Street need. The plan is to rob Fuhrberger when its dark and he's asleep. After the cutscene, the time is automatically set as 22.00, and a boxville is placed outside Ryder's crib. Drive to Colonel Fuhrberger's, overlooking East Beach. Enter his house, and follow the on-screen instructions. You have a total of 8 minutes (8 game hours) to retrieve the goods and exit the colonel's house. A noise meter will appear, and you must remain silent at all times otherwise Furherberger will hear and call the cops.

There are various crates scattered across the house. Press 'Triangle' to pick up a crate, and 'Triangle' to release it again. Dropping a crate will cause noise. Once you have picked up a crate, exist the house and drop it into the back of the van. After you have at least 3 crates, get in the van with Ryder and offload the goods at LB's garage in Willowfield.

Ryder never did find his water, so he's cooking "a little something" something for himself. The C.R.A.S.H team (Tenpenny, Pulaski and Hernandez) make an unexpected appearance. Tenpenny and Pulaski mock Ryder. Tenpenny says he's got something for Grove Street. It'll be there in 5 minutes. Drive Ryder's truck to the ammo train and you will see that its surrounded by Northside Vagos -- looks like Tenpenny told every gang in the city about this train. Take out the Vagos, and a group of Ballas will enter the scene. Protect the train from the Ballas. Walk into the red marker at the rear end of the train. CJ climbs on, but Ryder follows in his truck as the train begins to move.

Your mission is to throw the ammo crates onto the back of Ryder's truck. You must throw 10 crates within a minute and a half. Move the left analog stick left and right to direct your throw, hold L1/Circle to power your throw, and then release. You can also move the left analog stick up and down to increase/decrease your throwing distance. Once Ryder has 10 crates, you will gain a 3 star wanted level. Make your way to the Pay n' Spray in Idlewood, to lose the heat. Get back to the Grove -- LB's coming over to stash the goods.

Robbing Uncle SamIMAGE
Ryder is stoned out of his mind. He asks CJ a question: Why did he (Ryder) drop out of high school? CJ believes its because he put hands on the teacher that was wearing Ballas colours. The real answer is, he's too intelligent. Ryder goes onto explain that the army have all the guns they need. Get in the van with Ryder and drive to the compound at Ocean Docks. (For sake of interest, LB parked the van outside Ryder's house. He's very dependable. Like a clockwork ninja!) A car is seen driving into the compound. After the short cutscene climb over the wall and kill the guard. Shoot the lock and allow Ryder to drive in. There's another guard over by the warehouse. Get rid of him, and shoot the lock on the warehouse. Destroy the 2 guards, and get in the forklift. 2 new items are displayed on-screen -- Ryder's health bar, and the number of boxes collected.Position the forklift in front of one of the crates, and raise the box using the right analog stick. Place the boxes in the back of the van by simply driving into it.

Collect all 4 boxes inside the warehouse, and then the 2 outside. If you hear shooting whilst collecting the boxes, get out of the forklift and protect Ryder. He isn't very reliable, and his health will run out quickly. Once all 6 boxes have been obtained, get back in the truck. Ryder climbs into the back, and 2 cars begin chasing. Make your way to the lockup in Willowfield. Sound the horn (R3) and Ryder will throw an exploding crate at the chasers.

Smoke and Sweet are joking about Jeff.. I mean er, OG Loc, who is to be released from prison today. Drive Smoke and Sweet to pick up Jeffrey. Park in the red marker to trigger the cutscene. Loc walks out of the building, and towards the Grove Street OG's. Loc explains that he has to kill somebody who was dissing him in prison. Drive to freddy's house, in Vagos hood. Stop in the red marker. Sweet and Smoke leave, but Carl decides to stay and help Loc. Stand in the red marker at the top of the stairs, to ring the doorbell. After a short discussion, freddy escapes via the back door, and hops on a bike. Chase and kill freddy!

Grab the bike in front of you, and keep up with freddy. Loc will shoot from the back, but he won't perform very well. Freddy stops at several locations to allow you to catch up, so there's no need to rush. After a long chase through Los Santos, freddy will stop at the basketball court across from the Ganton Towers, where a group of Vagos are waiting. Leave no survivors. Take Loc to his new place of work -- the Burger Shot in Marina.

Carl is surprised to find that Tenpenny and Pulaski have paid a visit to Big Smoke's house. Smoke says they won't leave him alone but quickly changes the subject. His cousin is moving in from Mexico, and he must pick her up. Get in Smoke's car, and drive him to the meet. If you need a weapon, drop by Emmet's. During the journey, Carl discovers that, as per usual, Smoke is talking out of his ass. Cousin Mary is infact his weed supply. Stop in the red marker, and Smoke begins talking to some Vagos dealers. They clearly tell him to f--- off. Smoke, angered, gets out of the vehicle and whacks one of them with a baseball bat. The other makes a run for it, climbing several fences whilst doing so. CJ and Smoke follow, but Smoke is too fat to continue! Hunt down and kill the gang member, to complete the mission. You can climb walls using 'Square', and sprint by holding 'X'.

Wrong side of the TracksIMAGE
Once again, Tenpenny and Pulaski are spotted leaving Big Smoke's house -- this time through Smoke's garage. They seem increasingly interested in Big Smoke. Smoke knows about something that might put Grove Street "deeper in the game." Drive Big Smoke to Unity Station, and stop at the red marker. You're looking for some Vagos cats meeting with the San Fierro Rifa, cutting some kind of deal. The meeting is taking place on the roof, but unfortunately, the Mexicans see you. They hop onto the roof of the train, and off it goes. Get on the motorbike wth Big Smoke, chase down the Vagos gang members and take them out! Keep up with the front carriage of the train so that Big Smoke can shoot the Vagos. Don't drive too close to the train otherwise Smoke will shoot the train itself, and not the Vagos! -- stay as far to the side of the train as possible.

As the train passes Idlewood, a car is seen parked at a crossing. The train continues going at full speed, and the car explodes, so make sure you avoid it. Watch out for the oncoming train as you enter the tunnel at East Los Santos, leading into the countryside -- move to the right of the oncoming train, and stay off the track for a bit. CJ is still forbidden to leave Los Santos, so you can't let the train get any further than the Frederick Bridge. Once all of the Vagos gang members have been destroyed, take Smoke back to his house.

Smoke is going downtown, and he wants you to go with him. As usual, CJ is down. Take Big Smoke to downtown Los Santos, and stop in the red marker. Smoke tells you to wait outside, but to come in if you hear any shooting. Seconds later, Big Smoke is heard screaming. Go inside! The russians are attacking Big Smoke. Shooting whilst you are crouching improves your accuracy. Kill all of the russians in the building, and follow Big Smoke to the exit. There are more russians outside, leave no survivors. Smoke jumps on a motorbike, with Carl on the back. A health bar for the motorbike appears, and some russians begin to chase. To look around on the bike, use the left analog stick and to fire, press 'Circle'. Aim for the russians, not the bike. The bike would eventually catch fire and explode, but it is much quicker and easier to shoot the russians off of the bike.

A truck enters the scene, and also follows. The truck is bulletproof and will not explode, so don't waste time shooting at it. Smoke drives into the Los Santos flood control trench, where the rest of the chase will take place. More bikes follow -- take out all of the russians. Smoke drives over two buses linked together, and the truck hits another bus, sending it off course. There's two road blocks up ahead, so shoot down all the russians and their vehicles. Another two bikes enter the scene, aswell as two cars. Begin by shooting the russians off of the bikes, and then target the cars tires, before blowing them up. More bikes follow, and the truck re-appears, making a spectacular jump over the bridge. In order to lose some of the heat, Smoke drives up a ramp, but 2 more bikes appear behind. Continue shooting at the russians and protect your bike. A cutscene begins, and Smoke drives up the back of the truck. Suddenly, every vehicle belonging to the russians explode. There's an old sewer up ahead, that Smoke drives through. Russians continue chasing from behind. Smoke manages to lose the chasers, and decides that it is best to split up.

Life's a BeachIMAGE

Loc needs a sound system, and he saw one cruisin' through the drive-thru earlier on. He says it was heading towards the Santa Maria beach. Goto the beach party! When you get to the beach party, go and talk to the DJ. She asks you to dance, and you must reply positively. Press 'Right' two times to begin dancing, and don't shoot at anybody or you will disturb the beach party and the mission is automatically failed. You must get a score of 4000 or greater to gain access to the sound van. Just like the mission 'Cesar Vialpando', you must press the buttons shown on-screen just as they pass through the circle on the middle of the screen. If you win, the DJ invites you into her van. CJ throws her out of the van and speeds off. She begins shooting, so make a quick getaway. Follow the blip on the radar and get the van back to the garage. During the journey, two cars from the beach party will chase. Don't bother shooting at them but instead keep focused on the blip on the radar.

Madd Dogg's RhymesIMAGE

Loc is cleaning the floor at the Burger Shot. He begins singing to himself. Somebody walks out of the toilet and says that his rapping sucks. Carl enters and asks Loc if he has ever thought about getting a writer to help. Loc starts talking about Madd Dogg's rhyme book, from his home in the hills. He wants you to steal Madd Dogg's rhyme book, but Carl is unsure at first. Go to Madd Dogg's mansion -- the main door is around the back. The rhyme book is in Madd Dogg's recording studio, represented by the blip on the radar. However, it's not as easy as it looks. Madd Dogg's personal security are patrolling the mansion, so do not use any guns on your way to the rhyme book or you will alert them. You must use stealth to steal the rhyme book. The first guard (red blip on the radar) cannot see you as he facing the other way. This means you can sneak up behind him with a melee weapon and perform a stealth kill. The red blips on the radar point in the direction that the guard is facing. Perform the stealth kill by moving slowly towards the guard and pressing 'Circle' whilst targeting with the knife. The second guard is patrolling the swimming pool area. Observing his route will allow you to work out how to get past undetected. There are lots of shadows in this area to hide in. Hiding in shadows makes it difficult for the a guard to spot you. When you are in a shadowed area, your blip turns grey on the radar.

Continue walking towards the rhyme book. Another guard is coming, so move into the shadowed area towards the left. When he is facing the opposite direction, crouch and sneak up behind him to perform a stealth kill. Move into the bar area, where one of the guards happens to be playing Driv3r, and makes reference to Tanner. It is not possible to perform a stealth kill on the guard behind the bar, so crouch and walk by the bar so that he doesn't see you. Pick up the rhyme book when you reach the recording studio. More guards spawn, but it is now okay to use your weapons, although, it would be easier if you continued using stealth. The guards use silenced pistols, so if you kill one be sure to collect it and you can fire the other guards without making a noise. Leave the mansion the same way you came in, and grab the mountain bike outside. Take the rhyme book back to OG Loc.

See Loc between 12.00 and 05.00. The Appliance Technician at Burgershot called in sick, so Loc got promoted. He's cleaning the frier just now. Loc is unhappy. Dogg's manager has been pressurising him, and telling everybody that Loc is whack. Loc wants you to kill him. He's attending some kind of awards ceremony and thats the only time he leaves Dogg's side. One of Madd Dogg's managers drivers is eating at the Burger Shot across town. Go and steal his car and meet the other drivers before 10PM. During your journey to the Burger Shot, Loc phones to tell you that the chauffeur has left the restaurant and is heading towards the awards ceremony. Damage the car to scare the driver out, and run him over. Get in the car, get it repaired at the nearest Pay n' Spray, and meet the other drivers. Park the same way as the other drivers in the red marker. They get in their cars. You must keep in the middle of the other two vehicles whilst driving to the awards ceremony.

When you reach the ceremony, Dogg's manager will get in your car with his bitch, and ask you to take him back to Dogg's mansion. But not this time -- the only place he is going is under the ocean. Put your foot on the pedal and race down to the Santa Maria pier. Be careful as the other drivers will follow and attempt to ram you off the road. Go full speed towards the end of the pier and bail before it reaches the end. Watch the cutscene as Madd Dogg's manager faces a watery death!

Loc quits his job as Appliance Technician at the Burger Shot -- apparently it's not gangsta enough. If he's going back to prison, he wants a big ass party first with lots of nice bitches. The house party will take place at OG Loc's house in Grove Street at 8PM and it will finish at 5AM. Although its not necessary, you are told to get some new threads and a haircut. Loc phones later on to tell you that they got some girls for the party. He invites you to join them. Go between 20.00 and 06.00. When you arrive at the party, Loc is rapping, terribly, might I add.

CJ meets up with Ryder and they go outside to avoid the awful music. Outside they meet Sweet and the rest of the gang. One of your homies cycles down the street and warns you of a Ballas posse heading towards Grove Street. Sweet asks that 2 cars block the road. Ryder calls for backup whilst the others get heated. Kill the Ballas and protect Grove Street! Soon after, more Ballas will appear on the bridge above. If you have a rocket launcher, now is the perfect time to use it. If not, cap them one-by-one with whatever weapon you have. Sweet orders you to cover the alleyway. The Ballas enter Grove Street from all directions, so watch your back. Once all of the Ballas are eliminated, Sweet shouts 'GROVE IS KING!'. They go back to enjoy the party.

The C.R.A.S.H. team are waiting at the donut shop in Vinewood. Tenpenny calls Carl over, and offers him a seat. CJ says he couldn't visit earlier because he was busy. Pulaski thinks CJ is screwing with them, and Tenpenny makes it perfectly clear that they own him. He then goes onto explain that there's a gang-banging cop-killing thug like yourself holed up across town. Pulaski hands you the address. Your job is to make sure that he doesn't leave the neighbourhood alive. Tenpenny has hidden some molotovs in an alleyway in Downtown Los Santos -- pick them up. You can use the cop car parked in front of the donut shop to get there. Once you have collected the molotovs, goto the Vagos gang house and torch it. Kill the gang members standing in front of the house. Throw molotovs into the downstairs windows, each marked with a red arrow. Press and hold 'Circle' to throw a molotov. Hold 'Circle' longer to throw longer distances, but make sure it doesn't bounce back towards you. More Vagos will attack as you torch the house, so be prepared -- 2 will move in from the west when you are at the back of the house, and there is 1 or 2 towards the east.

You soon discover that a girl is trapped inside, and she is choking because of the dense smoke. Go inside the Vagos Gang House and save the girl before her health bar runs out. Go into the kitchen and collect the fire extinguisher. Then go up the stairs and use the fire extinguisher to put out the flames seperating you and the girl. After the short cutscene, the girl will follow you wherever you go. The roof collapses, and the house is beginning to fall in. Extinguish any flames blocking the exits, and ensure that the girl gets out safely. Hold R1 for better aiming with the fire extinguisher. Once you leave the house, the girl thanks you, gives you a kiss and introduces herself. Give her a ride home. Her name is Denise Robinson and she is now your girlfriend.

*Completing this mission re-opens the Sweet mission strand. Sweet calls to say that somebody has been buying drugs from Glen Park and supplying them to your Grove Street brothers. He wants you to mess up Glen Park real good so that he'll lose nerve and flee. Stop by Ammu-Nation and get heated.

The C.R.A.S.H. team are leaving the donut shop just as Carl is about to enter. Tenpenny says that he loves seeing gangs do his job for him, blowing each others brains out and such. So when one gang has a strong advantage over the other, that worries him. The Ballas, according to Tenpenny, have a very unfair advantage. They have brains, they're watching the news, cuttin' deals and so on. He tells you to check out a busy freight warehouse down at the docklands, to see what he's talking about. Goto the docks where the Ballas and the Russians are making a deal. Stop in the red marker. The Russians and the Ballas are holding a meeting inside the warehouse. Use the door shown in the cutscene to get inside.

Enter the compound and begin by shooting the explosives on the forklifts, causing the forklifts to explode. Eliminate all of the Russian guards, and walk to the entrance. Shoot the lock to open the door, and kill the Russians inside. Follow the red blip on the radar to locate the Russian Arms dealer. There are Ballas and Russians everywhere so stay low and watch your back. The arms dealer is inside the office at the top of the stairs, but he'll make a run for it as soon as you go up. It is unlikely that you will kill him before he gets in his car, so grab the motorbike and give him a chase. You can shoot forwards on the bike or from the sides by looking left or right (L2 and R2). Make sure he doesn't escape.

Reuniting the FamiliesIMAGE

See Sweet between 09.00 and 17.00. Ryder, Smoke and Sweet are watching a porno when Carl enters the room. Sweet tells them to switch the television off and listen up. It's time to make things final -- no more base on the streets, it's ruining Grove Street. There's a meeting being held at the Jefferson Motel, where all of the families will try and settle their differences. Get in the car and take the crew to the meet. Stop in the red marker. Sweet explains that its strictly one representetive per set, so he's going in alone.

Sweet enters the motel, and an LSPD chopper heads towards the building. Two SWAT vans appear and a shootout begins. Smoke and Ryder flee, but CJ is determined to get his brother out of there safely. Nevermind the action thats going on outside. Go inside the building, and kill any attackers at the entrance. Walk towards the stairs, and CJ will ask a dying gangster where Sweet is. He says that they were meeting in the back someplace. [You can purchase drinks at the vending machines to replenish your health.] Go up the stairs and follow the blue blip on the radar. A SWAT cop appears from around the corner, and another as you turn left. Leave no survivors. (On a slightly unrelated note, if you enter the first room on the left, a girl will kiss you). Goto the end of the corridor and take out all of the SWAT cops. There's armor at the top of the stairs if you need any. Go down the second hallway and finish off any remaining cops. Go into the room and talk to Sweet, you need to get out of here fast.

CJ and Sweet are now on the roof of the motel, and another LSPD chopper appears. Sweet's health bar appears on-screen. Shoot down the chopper (with a rocket launcher, if you have one) and protect Sweet. Follow him down the stairs. Smoke and Ryder re-enter the scene. Get in the car and Smoke hands you an AK. To look around the car use the left analog stick, and to fire press 'Circle'. Shoot off any police cars (aim for the tires first, and then the body of the vehicle), and some police bikes will begin to follow. Aim for the officers on the bike, not the bike itself. The cops on the bikes jump onto the car, and start punching you. Get rid of them. The AK gets jammed, and no longer works. Smoke takes a right turn, and a chopper has its blades pointed towards the ground, creating an unstoppable barrier. One of the bike cops remains on the front of the car. Smoke drives full speed towards the chopper, and the cop is sliced up by the blades. The brakes are now jammed, and the crew bail from the car is it goes flying through a billboard and onto an articulated truck, causing a massive explosion. Everybody splits up.

It's time to show the Ballas what banging is all about. Sweet motivates the homies, and publicly thanks CJ for getting Grove Street back on its feet. Sweet orders everyone to get heated, and meet him under the Mulholland Intersection. CJ leaves the house, and Cesar calls. He says that its very important, and that you must see it now. Go and meet Cesar under the freeway northside of Verdant Bluffs. Walk into the red marker, and then go inside the car with the tinted windows down the alleyway. Inside the car, Cesar and CJ look across the street, as some Ballas exit a garage, followed by Ryder and Smoke, and finally Officer Tenpenny. Pulaski reverses the green sabre out of the garage. Yes, the same green sabre that was used to attack Grove Street when CJ's mother was killed. Smoke sold you out. Suddenly, CJ remembers about Sweet and orders Cesar to get Kendl to a safe place. Sweet and the homies are clearly running into a trap. Race over to the underside of the Mulholland Intersection before Sweet's health bar runs out.

Walk into the red marker. Sweet is injured, and can't continue shooting. Hold off the Ballas until the police arrive. More Ballas appear in a van, and more follow in cars. Leave no survivors. Eventually, 3 police cars arrive, and there's nothing you can do except watch. CJ is inside a police car, with a bag over his head. It is removed, and you discover that you are in the middle of nowhere with Tenpenny and Pulaski. Tenpenny reveals that Sweet is alive and inside a prison hospital being treated for gunshot wounds, but for now, Pulaski has a job for you. CJ is still trying to get over the fact that Smoke betrayed him. Smoke does what he's told, says Pulaski. Tenpenny orders you to stay away from C.R.A.S.H. and Smoke. There's a guy hiding up Mount Chiliad who disagrees with Tenpenny and Pulaski's methods. Pulaski wants him dead, and he wants evidence from you that he isn't going to talk.

There's a guy hiding up Mount Chiliad that disagrees with Tenpenny and Pulaski's methods. Pulaski wants him dead, and he wants evidence from you that he isn't going to talk. Kill the witness, and bring back proof. Pulaski hands you a camera with an ulimited number of shots. Hold R1 to look through the camera viewfinder. Press L2 to zoom in, and R2 to zoom out. Press 'Circle' to take the photo, or press L1 to take the photo AND save it to your gallery. Grab a vehicle and head towards Mount Chiliad. Stop in the red marker at the bottom of the mountain, and begin making your way up. A bike (of some sort) would be the most suitable vehicle to use. The roads going up the mountain can get very narrow and complicated, so a small, but fast vehicle such as a motorbike would be perfect. Don't get too close to the snitches hideout, or he'll flee. Remember, you need a photo of him in one piece, so you can't just blow him up with the rocket launcher. Examine the area. There are feds surrounding the hideout, and the snitch is inside. Ignore the feds completely, there aren't many of them, and they can't do too much damage. Drive full speed towards the hideout. Go to the right hand side of the hideout, and round the back (still ignoring the feds, as they shoot). Pick a weapon and kill the snitch, who should at this point be leaving the hideout. If you can kill him before he gets into his car (which is the whole point of this method) you shouldn't have too many problems. If he DOES manage to get into his car, you will have to chase him down the mountain. Try and ram his vehicle over the edge of the mountain, but if thats not possible a simple drive-by should do it, causing the snitch to exit the vehicle, and from there its pretty straight-forward. Photograph the body, and take it back to the drop.

*Cesar calls, and explains that Los Santos is very dangerous now. He's got backup coming out to protect you -- his cousin, really intense. Meet them at the diner in Dillimore, over in Red County (follow the question mark "?" on the radar)

*You also recieve a phonecall from Sweet (who is currently in prison). He is just checking up on you. You'll hear more from him later.

This is not really a mission, but more of an introduction to Catalina. Goto the diner in Dillimore, marked with the question mark "?" on the radar. Walk into the red marker to trigger the cutscene. You will see Catalina, the same Catalina we saw in GTA3. She is causing a disturbance, as always. Grab a vehicle, and listen as Catalina explains your mission(s). She wants to take Red County for every cent its worth, so she has set 4 targets -- a liquor store in Blueberry, a bank in Palomino Creek, a gas station in Dillimore and a betting shop in Montgomery. Each of the targets is marked with a green dollar sign ($) on the radar. You're the driver, so you pick which one to do first. The gas station is only just around the corner, so that would be the sensible choice. Scroll down to the mission 'Tanker Commander' for further details.

This isn't really a mission, just a cutscene with Cesar and CJ. Watch this cutscene by walking into the red marker at the trailer in Angel Pine. Cesar and Kendl are inside, and it seems they arrived safely. Cesar is very angry. He wants to go back to Los Santos to cap some dope dealers and explains that the only reason he came out here was for Kendl's safety. Cesar makes it clear what the problem is -- Big Smoke, Tenpenny and Pulaski. CJ, still trying to get over the fact that Smoke betrayed him, defends Big Smoke. Kendl jumps in and criticises Carl's words. Cesar goes onto explain that Smoke sends a car out to San Fierro, and the trunk comes back full of drugs. CJ is going to keep an eye on the highway to San Fierro, and see if he can see anything.

*Catalina calls and complains about the lack of attention you have been paying towards her. Go and see her, you have got banks to rob.

CJ knocks on Catalina's door, but she's ignoring him, or she isn't in. CJ is very apologetic and shouts his feelings for Catalina, just incase she is listening. However, there is no reply. He walks away from the house, and mutters 'stupid bitch'. Suddenly Catalina attacks him from behind and holds a gun to his head. CJ begs for his life, and to prove how sorry he is, he says they are going to play rough, and rob banks, and she can kill whoever she wants to kill. Catalina says she loves him. Earlier on, Catalina set 4 soft targets -- a liquor store in Blueberry, a bank in Palomino Creek, a gas station in Dillimore and a betting shop in Montgomery. One of them should be done at this point, with 3 remaining. If you followed the advice given earlier in the walkthrough, you should have dollar signs on your radar at the liquor store in Blueberry, the bank in Palomino Creek and the betting shop in Montgomery. These missions are relatively easy, so just pick the mission that is closest. That would be the liquor store in Blueberry, so head off there.

Go and see Catalina, you have got banks to rob! CJ knocks on the door, and Catalina's voice can be heard. She tells him to come inside. CJ goes in, and from there-on it's a bunch of loud screams and ow's, as Catalina tortures him. There are two robbery locations remaining, represented by the Green Dollar "$" signs on the radar. If you've been following this walkthrough since the start, you should have a green dollar sign at the bank in Palomino Creek, and the betting shop in Montgomery. The betting shop offers a larger reward, and is slightly less challenging than the bank robbery in Palomino Creek, so that may be the most suitable choice.

This is the final cutscene mission for Catalina. This time she is angry, very angry. Apparently she has had enough of you and from now on you're simply her business parter. She's not in a good mood today, so anybody that messes with her is going to get killed, including you. By this point you should have 1 dollar sign on the radar, marking the last robbery location. If you took the advice earlier, you should be left with the bank in Palomino Creek, so head off there.

Cesar arrives late, apparrently he didn't know when the race was starting. Wu Zi Mu, a San Fierro businessman, introduces himself. He explains that they like to race out in the country for cash rewards or pink slips - the racers choice. He wishes you luck (Note: You'll see Claude in the background, the main character in Grand Theft Auto 3). This is without a doubt the easiest race in the game, much easier than High Stakes, Lowrider, and even that was easy. I highly recommend using the Rancher. It's big, it's sturdy, and it's slow. Ironic, yes, because Cesar said it was all about fast cars, but speed is the main cause of accidents in this mission. Although the other racers look as if they're driving full speed, trust me, they are not. Take your time, and turn corners slowly to prevent the car from flipping or diving into the water because you missed a bridge. You should finish well in front of the other 3 racers. You need to finish in 1st place to pass this mission. Wu Zi Mu will congratulate you, and comment on your driving skill. Local police don't appreciate this sport, so he'll need to leave shortly. Woozie hands you his card, and tells you to visit him if you ever find yourself in San Fierro. The sound a police car is heard in the background, and Woozie leaves.

Goto the red marker at the 'cV' (Cesar Vialpando) icon on the radar, in The Panopticon. Catalina pulls a cane out of a car trunk, and kisses her new lover. She is very angry at Carl, because by the looks of things he prefers the curves of a car to those of a real woman. When she said she wanted to be business partners, she meant that she loves you, and when she said that she isn't interested anymore, she meant that she loves you. But it's too late now, and she tries to make Carl jealous by introducing him to her new boyfriend, Claude (the main guy from Grand Theft Auto 3). It's time to race. This time, you can't choose a vehicle. You're given a ZR-350, and you must finish 1st place to complete the mission. Again, this race is relatively simple. Take your time, especially when turning corners. To be honest, it's hardly a 'race' - just a nice ride through the country. When the race is over, Catalina says you had the unfair advantage. She hands you the deed to a garage in San Fierro - Claude needs his car so that him and Catalina can goto Liberty City. That's the last you will be seeing of Catalina.

Tanker CommanderIMAGE

This involves robbing a gas station in Dillimore. Stop in the red marker, and watch as Catalina attempts to rob the place. She points a gun at the window, and tells them to hand over the cash. There are two men inside. One wants to hand over the cash, but the other refuses to lose another job because of some crazy ass bitch. He tells Catalina that the glass is bulletproof, and that he won't be giving her any money. Change of plan -- Catalina wants to steal the tanker. Get in the cab with Catalina, and position it in front of the tanker. The cab and the tanker must be aligned perfectly. Slowly back into it, to attach the cab to the trailer. However, the owner is determined to fight back and keep his job. They get in a car, and chase. Catalina knows somebody who will pay for this rig and its cargo, so follow the blip on the radar. Keep focused on your destination and don't pay too much attention to the chasers. A health bar appears for the tanker. Drive out of the gas station, go across the little road in front and turn right. Go straight forward until you reach a dead end and the only option you have is to turn left or right. Turn left, and the stop is at the bottom of the hill. You must take great care whilst driving the tanker, so as not to detach the trailer or topple it. Turn corners slowly, and don't make them too sharp (if your turn is too sharp, the tanker will detach and the mission is failed. If necessary, drive across the grass when you reach a corner to keep the tanker as straight as possible). Catalina makes the deal with Mr. Whittaker, before heading off on a bike. Mission complete. The trucker missions are now unlocked.

*You recieve a phone call from somebody called The Truth. CJ has no idea who he is, but he explains that they both have the same friend and business partner -- Officer Tenpenny. Truth has a room in a motel in Angel Pine, go and see him sometime.

This involves robbing the betting store in Montgomery. Stop in the red marker outside the betting shop and Catalina will give you satchel charges. Enter the betting store and Catalina will hold a gun towards the staff. One of the staff pushes the alarm after Catalina warned her not to. She's now history. Catalina orders you to blow the door open, in order to gain access to the safe. Press 'Circle' to throw the satchels and hold it for longer to increase the throwing distance. Throw about 2 or 3 satchel charges onto the door, and stand well back from it. Flick through your weapons until you reach the detonator, and press 'Circle'. The door will blast open, and you now must do the same to blow the safe open. This will only require one satchel. Once the safe is open, CJ will take the cash, and a 4-star wanted level appears. Get some wheels, head to the pay n' spray marked on the radar (keep an eye out for the police bribe under the Montgomery intersection) and get back to Catalina's hideout.

It seems that some other robbers got there first, and they're getting away with your money! Catalina shoots one of them off of his quadbike, as they try to escape. Get on the quadbike with Catalina, and she'll shoot from behind. Chase the 3 robbers. You can help Catalina by shooting forwards on the quadbike, by pressing 'Circle'. Use the L2 and R2 buttons to look left and right. Once you have shot the first robber off of his quadbike, a green blip is marked on the radar representing the briefcase full of cash. Leave the briefcase for now, and chase the other 2 robbers. Once all of the robbers are dead, go back and collect the briefcases. Return to the hideout and stop in the red marker. Carl tells Catalina that he desperately needs money. Catalina promises that they will rob a real bank next time.

*Cesar calls and says that he has been busy racing. He's talking about street racing, not beautiful cars, but fast cars. Street racers meet out in the countryside for cash. Get a fast car and meet Cesar and Kendl south of Montgomery.

Time to rob a real bank. Stop in the red marker at the bank in Palomino Creek. CJ and Catalina threaten the staff with guns, and Catalina demands that they hand over the cash. She's going to empty the safe. Meanwhile, keep the staff covered. Point your gun at the staff to keep them scared and under control. Common sense tells us that we can't aim at 4 people at the same time, so one of the staff will reach for the alarm, and all hell breaks loose. The local police are contacted, and make their way to the robbery scene. 2 police bikes and a rancher park outside. Smash the ATM's and get as much cash as possible (each ATM requires 2 rifle shots). Once all 3 ATM's have been destroyed, follow Catalina through the back door. You'll gain a 2-star wanted level, and some cops attack. Kill all of the cops with Catalina, and 2 more police bikes will enter via the alleyway. Shoot both of the cops, and grab a bike. Keep up with Catalina as you race through the countryside. Eventually Catalina comes to a stop, and she is surrounded by officers. Protect Catalina, and take her home. During the journey home, CJ says she needs to calm down. Catalina explains that he knows nothing about the female heart, and that he's to go back and see her when he does know something.

Walk into the red marker at the motel in Angel Pine, and a cutscene will begin. Tenpenny is stoned, he has become dillusional. He introduces you to Truth, who will be supplying you with some of the finest weed. Truth enters the room, and Tenpenny explains that Carl will be paying Truth the money for his weed. Tenpenny leaves, and Truth has a job for you. Some farmers across town have a combine harvester, and Truth needs one. Get it and you can pay Truth. The combine is located at "The Farm", which unfortunately is half way across the countryside. This is however, a good time to increase your driving skill. Follow the yellow blip on the radar, and walk into the red marker. The combine harvester is located at the field towards the back of the farm. There are several groups of survivalists working and they will not take kindly to strangers. There is one farmer towards your left, and he carries a rifle. Take him out from a distance, and continue moving into the farm. Two farmers on tractors will move towards you, and repeatedly run you down. If you shoot at the tractors they will eventually blow up, but you risk losing a lot of health using this method. Instead, pull the farmers out of the tractors and kill them from there. There's another few farmers up ahead at the turn, and another few in the field where the harvester is located. As you approach the combine, the driver will flee. Enter the combine, and exit the field by heading west and following the dirt path. Some more angry farmers greet you as you exit the field. Simply drive over any attackers and the combine harvester will slice them. Take the harvester back to Truth's farm. As you leave the farm, a car with some angry farmers will chase. Get out of the harvester and kill the farmers, to avoid any damage to the harvester itself. Turn left and take the first right. Drive down to the dirt path until you reach Truth's farm, and stop in the red marker. A cutscene begins, and Truth says he will call you when the stuff is ready, so make sure you have the cash.

*Cesar calls and reveals that the Varios Los Aztecas have gone down. Respect, loyalty and honour mean nothing in Los Santos anymore. CJ orders him to take Kendl out of Los Santos, and rent a trailer at Angel Pine. Go and see Cesar at Angel Pine. There's a BF Injection at Truth's farm that you can use to get there.

Truth has a green village up in the hills - go and see him. Carl hands over the cash, and collects the goods from the mothership. Suddenly there's a loud noise. It's a police chopper. Truth grabs 2 flamethrowers, and hands Carl one. Go and help Truth destroy the weed. Hold R1 to aim with the flamethrower, and destroy all the weed (represented by the red blips on the radar). You have 5.30 minutes (5.30 game hours) to burn everything before the cops arrive. Because of the drugs, Carl will become dizzy and it becomes increasingly difficult to burn the weed. Truth gets the mothership fired up, and ready to go. Once all of the weed has been burned, go and speak to Truth. He hands you a rocket launcher, to take out the chopper. Get a couple of shots in at the chopper after the cutscene, but if you miss, follow it to the end of the road where Truth will stop. Once the chopper has been struck, stand well away from the explosion. Get in the mothership and drive to the garage (Truth hasn't driven in 15 years) that you won in San Fierro. CJ calls Cesar during the journey, and tells him to meet at the garage. You discover that the garage is infact run-down, and basically of no use to you. Stop in the red marker, to complete the mission. You can now save your progress in San Fierro. We're back into the city, baby.

*Cesar calls, and he's been doing a little research. Every Monday and Friday cash leaves Los Santos for San Fierro, and every Wednesday and Saturday a courier takes the yay back to Big Smoke. Keep an eye out.

Carl, Cesar, Kendl and Truth enter the garage in San Fierro. CJ is furious that Claude gave him this heap of rubbish instead of a pink slip. It clearly isn't a garage, but Kendl is determined to make it into a garage. It would take a lot of hard work, but she manages to persuade CJ, and they decide to give it a go. If you are going to make this place into a garage, you will need a few workmen. Truth knows a few guys, so lets go for a ride. Get in the car with Truth. First, you are going to pick up two guys, Jethro and Dwaine, whom Truth met in the '89 Fierro Lovin, apparently. They used to work on marine engines until the mob (Vercetti) bought out their business in Vice City -- now they will take any old job. Goto the garage in Easter Basin (blue blip on the radar) stop in the red marker and beep the horn (L3) to pick up Jethro, who at the time, is busy working under a car. Truth explains that this is Viatnamese gang territory, belonging to Da Nang Boys. Truth wants you to swing by the hospital, but he won't say why. Stop in the red marker, and a van is seen passing by. That's all Truth wanted to see.

Now go and pick up Dwaine, who is working at a Hotdog Van near a tram terminal in Kings. Again, stop in the red marker and sound the horn. Dwaine has some things to deal with first, so Carl describes the location of the garage and he agrees to meet them there later. Truth now wants you to goto the cop station in downtown. Stop in the red marker, and the same van that was seen at the hospital passes by. Next, goto Zero's RC shop. Zero is the electronics guy, a real genius. When you arrive at the store, Zero is outside playing with his RC chopper. Stop in the red marker, and after some talk, Zero climbs in. Get back to the garage in Doherty, and stop in the red marker. A cutscene begins, and everybody is introduced. Kendl explains her new ideas to CJ. In order to make money, she wants to do property development, like this garage for example -- they develop it, and then sell it. Or, they simply develop the property and run it as a business.

*Zero phones to tell you that his landlord is selling his RC shop. CJ is looking to invest, so stop by later to discuss.

Carl recieves a phonecall from Tenpenny. He reminds you of the weed that Truth supplied earlier to frame one of the C.R.A.S.H team's enemies. Tenpenny wants you to put the weed in the guy's car, and give WE TIP a call. Carl snaps, and immediately refuses to snitch, but Tenpenny explains that the man is a D.A, so Carl is willing to do it. The D.A is on his way to the Vank Hoff Hotel in Downtown San Fierro. Stop in the red marker outside Big Pointy Building, and some instructions are given. The hotel operates a valet service. The D.A will be there shortly to drop off his car. Follow the valet to the underground car park and waste him, but make sure nobody is watching. Collect the valet's uniform, get to the valet port and wait with the other valets. The D.A is driving a blue merit -- remember what it looks like, as you will need to indentify it when it arrives. Make sure the other valets don't service it first. When the D.A arrives, another valet will make a comment. Get in the D.A's car, and speed off to the Doherty garage.

A time limit appears on-screen, and you have 2.30 minutes (2.30 game hours) to complete the whole thing. Stop in the red marker, and the drugs are planted. You must get the car back to the valet spotless, otherwise the D.A will notice. If at this point, you have under 40 seconds remaining, you won't make it. Take your time, and concentrate on your destination, not the clock. If the car is damaged, you will need to go all the way back to the Doherty garage and get it repaired. Park the car in the space shown. A valet is coming to collect it, so go back up and call WE TIP. The police arrive, stop the D.A, and find the drugs inside his car. The D.A is arrested. The valet missions are now unlocked, and also the valet uniform which you can collect from your wardrobe.

The construction site workers have been mocking Kendl, and she isn't a happy lady. Cesar wants to teach them a lesson, but Carl insists that he does it, as he needs more land anyway. You must scare off the construction firm. Destroy all of the portables and kill the foreman. Construction machinery will help destroy the portables (Dozer). You must destroy all of them before the cops arrive, and a 3 minute timer starts as soon as you destroy the first. Simply drive into the portables, and they will collapse, but make sure you don't hit the explosive barrels. The site is populated by workers, many of whom carry weapons. They will attack as soon as you enter the dozer. Drive over them, or get out the vehicle and attack, to stop them interefering with your task. The foreman comes out of the toilet, to see the mess you have created. He runs back inside. Still using the dozer, push the mobile toilet into the ditch and bury him under the concrete. To bury him, get in the cement mixer and position it in front of the hole. Watch, as the foreman is buried alive.

Carl is talking to Cesar on the phone. Cesar's cousin called and gave him a tip about a Ballas car heading to San Fierro to score yay. You must find out who is supplying them. Cesar picked them up at the Mulholland Intersection and is trailing them just now. Go and pick up Cesar in Red County. Get in his lowrider, and make your way to Angel Pine, where the Ballas were seen heading towards. Drive carefully as there is no rush. If you destroy the vehicle the mission is automatically failed. Stop in the red marker at Angel Pine, and go up onto the roof. Follow Cesar to the red marker. You are given a camera (with unlimited shots) and you cannot change your weapon at this point. You are looking towards the Cluckin' Bell, and your task is to photograph the face of each target. However, you must be quick. Use the R2 and L2 buttons to zoom in and out.

After about 10 seconds, Ryder will enter the Cluckin' Bell carpack via the back. Once he gets out of his car, a red arrow will appear above his head. Zoom in and photograph his face. Shortly after, T-Bone Mendez will enter the carpark the same way Ryder did. Again, zoom in and photograph him when the red arrow appears. Quickly zoom out and look towards the right of the Cluckin' Bell. Here you will see Mike Toreno. Zoom in and photograph his face, and then watch as Jizzy B moves in from the left. Photograph Jizzy's face. Carl and Cesar drive to the garage down the road to avoid being seen. They split up. Notice that you still have the unlimited camera. You can keep this until you overwrite the slot or get busted/wasted.

Woozie is explaining to Cesar that him and Carl are friends. Carl asks Woozie to name the people in the photos that you took. Woozie's assistant, Su Xi Mu, jumps in. Thats the Loco Syndicate, he says. The first guy (he points to Mike Toreno) runs things, but he doesn't know his name. The second is T-Bone Mendez, he's the muscle and the third is Jizzy B, the biggest pimp in town. He helps setup the deals. Woozie says that Jizzy runs the pleasure domes club in the old fortress under the Gant Bridge. Goto Jizzy's club, and stop in the red marker. Carl explains to Jizzy that he'd be willing to offer his services. Co-incidently, Jizzy needs a few jobs done. Some lunatic has been messing with his girls, and he killed two of them last week. Find out what it's all about. First, however, you must drop off one of his girls at the hotel in Downtown. Get inside the pimpmobile and drop her off.

Jizzy speaks to you on the carphone. Waste the pimp in Hashburry who has been messing with his girls. Stand well away, or the pimp will run and you are forced to chase. Take him out from a distance, and get back in the pimpmobile. Jizzy calls again, and says that some of his girls in Foster Valley have been getting knuckled over. Save Jizzy's girl! A health bar appears for the ho, and you must save her before it runs out. Drive under the intersection where the ho is, and kill the two enemies. Get back in the pimpmobile and once again, Jizzy calls. Apparently you're bad luck to him. The ho that you dropped off at the hotel wants out of the business! Her sugar daddy has persuaded her to stay off the streets. Go and make an example out of them. Stop in the red marker at the hotel in Downtown, and watch as the preacher and his protection leave the building. Kill all of them, by doing a drive-by shooting. Jizzy calls and asks that you keep the car away from him, his girls and his club.

Jizzy is unhappy with T-Bone. There's 3 people involved with the deal, and Jizzy is only getting 20%. T-Bone recieves a phonecall, and apparently the shipments have been ambushed. Get to the ambushed van at the Garver Bridge. The thieves escape on bikes. There are 4 altogether. Grab the bike that is there, and give them a chase. When you are close to the enemy, press L1 to snatch the package. Collect all 4 packages and take them back to Jizzy's club, but be careful as the thieves will continue to chase and attack you.

After that last bit of trouble, T-Bone is convinced that somebody is onto them. Mike Toreno calls T-Bone, and apparently he is in trouble. T-Bone tells Carl and Jizzy what's happening -- some thieves have taken the yay shipment and the van, and Mike is still inside. After the cutscene, a timer will appear on-screen lasting 5 minutes and 30 seconds (thats 5 and a half game hours). This is the length of time that Mike's phone battery will last. Mike is giving details to T-Bone, and its your job to drive to the locations that Mike is describing. Firstly, he says that he can hear seagulls and heavy machinery, so they suggest the building site in Doherty. However, ignore that order and head straight towards Easter Bay Airport. On the way there, Mike says that he can hear a truck reversing, so your second target would be the docks down in Easter Basin. Again, ignore that and continue heading towards the airport. The gates are already open by the time you arrive, so head in, go through the tunnel, and onto the runway area. At this point the battery timer will have stopped. T-Bone explains that, after the last attack, Mike hid a transponder in the white.

Use the reading from the signal bar to find the van, with Mike inside. The van is towards the east of the airport. As you approach, the thieves will drive away -- a van and two bikes. They drive towards the north of the airport, and stop. If you have a rifle or a sniper rifle handy, stop, get out of your car and stand at a large distance from the van. shoot off the bikists, and get back in the car. Drive towards the van and suddenly 4 guards (Da Nang Boys) will attack. Simply run over them, or get out of the vehicle and kill them with the help of T-Bone. After the 4 guards are eliminated, Mike exits the back of the van. You must torch the van with the white still inside. Unfortunately, Mike and T-Bone don't actually cause damage to the van, so it's upto you. Throw a molotov towards the van, if you have one, but if not, use whatever it is available (if you don't have any weapons, you can ram it off the edge of the airport and into the water). You automatically gain 2 stars. Get inside the limousine with Mike and T-Bone, and exit the airport. Drive through the red marker and you will now have 3 wanted stars. Make your way to the Pay n' Spray to lose the heat -- Mike and T-Bone will perform drive-by shootings as you do so. Get back to the pleasure domes and stop in the red marker.

Collect this mission at the garage in Doherty. Jizzy calls - his business associates need some assistance, so meet them at the gas station next to the docks in Easter Basin. T-Bone will be waiting for you in a 4-door sedan. Carl approaches the car, and discovers that there is nobody inside. Suddenly, T-Bone attacks from behind and forces him to say who he's working for. Carl refuses, and makes it clear that he's only in this for a bit of extra cash. Mike arrives -- it's time to meet the shipment. Drive to the van's location and stop in the red marker. T-Bone and Mike warn you that they will be watching. Pick up the rocket launcher and get on the escort bike. Your task is to destroy the roadblocks so that the van can drive safely to the factory. Luckily for you, the van drives very slow, and your bike is very fast.

Make your way to the first road block, near the Garver Bridge. Take out the roadblock before the van arrives. Use the rocket launcher to destroy the gang members and their vehicles. Each enemy has a red marker above his head. The next roadblock is straight forward and towards the right. Again, eliminate the enemy to let the van drive through. Watch out for the two enemies standing on the remains of a building. There's no need to go up there, just use the rocket launcher and shoot at them from the ground. Destroy the final road block, which is just around the corner. Again, look out for the enemies that stand on the remains. Make sure the van reaches its destination safely, to complete the mission. Completing this mission will earn you 3 wanted stars, and a C.R.A.S.H mission is now available.

Snail TrailIMAGE

Tenpenny and Pulaski are waiting for you at the garage. They have job for you. There's a young journalist trying to make a name for himself by taking down C.R.A.S.H. Your task is simple - shut him up. Pulaski also wants you to kill the person who has been digging up dirt on him. He's meeting the reporter in Los Santos. Tenpenny has hidden a sniper rifle in the construction yard near by - go and pick it up. The reporter is at Cranberry station. Head over there, and the train will begin to move. The reporter is on the train. Grab a vehicle (a bike, preferrably) get on the tracks and follow the train to Market Station, Los Santos. Watch out for the oncoming trains, and take it easy at sharp turns (on bridges) or you may not be able to get back on the tracks. When you arrive at Market Station, go outside and a spook-o-meter will appear on-screen. You must stay at a reasonable distance from the reporter or he will cancel the meeting and the mission is automatically failed. He'll fetch a taxi. Pickup his trail and follow the reporter to the target. The meet is at the end of the Santa Maria pier. When you reach the pier, assasinate the targets using the sniper rifle.

Ice Cold KillaIMAGE

This mission can be taken between 20.00 and 06.00, at the Doherty garage. CJ runs into the garage and searches for an item he hid earlier. Cesar greets him, and asks what the problem is: Woozie left him a message -- he has to get Jizzy's phone after he makes the call so that he can ambush the meet and take down the Balla pushers from Los Santos. Carl wanted a silencer to do the job, but Cesar gives him his own. Go and pay Jizzy a visit at the pleasure domes club. There are two limousines (it might be worth taking one of these and storing it in your garage, as this is the only time you will see a black limousine) and a pimpmobile parked at the club. Drive the pimpmobile around to the back of the pleasure domes club, and puncture all of the tires.

Now go back and speak to the guards. It's private function only, so you can't get in through the main entrance. climb the stairs towards the left of the car park, and jump onto the roof of the pleasure domes club. Enter the club via the skylight. Go and meet Jizzy. He announces to his friends that he's about to make the "special call". Carl holds a gun to his head, and Jizzy begs for his life. A shootout begins, and Jizzy escapes from the club. Nevermind Jizzy's goons, run towards the exit and leave the club. Jizzy and his bodyguard will go to the back of the club and enter the pimpmobile. Because we punctured his tires earlier, it shouldn't be too hard to catch him. Simply pull him and his bodyguard out of the vehicle, and kill Jizzy. Collect the phone. Carl calls Cesar and tells him to meet at Pier69 - it's time to take down the Loco Syndicate.

Cesar is waiting on the roof of the building. Go upstairs and meet him -- walk through the entrance at the right hand side of the building to find the stairs. Cesar gives you a sniper rifle. T-Bone's security have arrived early, they are on the roof overlooking the pier. Ryder arrives with some of his Balla friends. Woozie's boys are in place, and they head up onto the roof. Use the sniper rifle to clear the roof so that the Triads can proceed. A chopper arrives -- it must be Toreno. Unfortunately, Toreno will see the dead bodies on the roof and warn the others. Smoke grenades are thrown, and all hell breaks loose. Your task is simple -- kill T-Bone Mendez. Go down the stairs with Cesar and head towards the pier. The rifa will constantly attack and protect T-Bone. There are some Ballas up ahead. T-Bone's weapon can cause a lot of damage very quickly, so act fast. A cutscene begins -- Carl and Cesar finish him off, and he falls over into the water. Ryder miraculously dives off the edge of the pier, and swims towards the island. He'll try and escape in a boat. Swim after Ryder, and grab the other boat that is available. You can perform a drive-by shooting whilst in the boat, to kill Ryder.

Toreno's Last FlightIMAGE

Woozie calls. One of his men found the van that you were looking for -- it's by the helipad in Downtown San Fierro. Toreno is there also. Apparently he is about to take some merchandise and cut out by helicopter. Your task: Toreno's boarding a chopper at the helipad nearby -- get there and stop him! As you arrive, 2 rockets are fired in your direction, but it's very doubtful that they will hit you. Kill any attackers, and head towards the chopper. It takes off. Grab a rocket launcher (there are 2 situated on the helipad) grab a vehicle and chase the chopper. Get onto the freeway. The chopper is fairly slow, so you don't necessarily need a fast car. Drive a long distance in front of the chopper, get out, and shoot it down as it flies towards you. Watch out for the shootists at each side of the chopper. One shot should do it. There's no way Toreno could have survived that, says Carl. But we'll see.

Cesar labels you a hero in Los Santos. CJ isn't particularly pleased -- he's still got problems in San Fierro, and he killed Ryder, his homie. Cesar reveals that Ryder once tried to bang Kendl, something that CJ didn't know. Woozie enters the garage and says that it's not over yet. The Loco Syndicate have a factory across town, and if you take that out you've put them out of business for good. One of Woozie's men calls, and tells you to go and pickup the wired car that you'll be using to blow up the crack factory. Goto the bomb shop in downtown! The specialist has wired in a delay timer to give you time to get out safely. Kill the guards at the crack factory to gain attention. The gate opens, and you can now enter the compound. Drive over any attackers, and make your way to the lab. Use the ramp to get inside the crack factory.

Park the car in the red marker next to the containers, and press 'Circle' to activate the bomb. Get as far away from the crack lab as possible! The crack factory explodes, but more dealers enter the compound. The gate shuts. Kill them, and steal the car. One of the fallen roofs forms a perfect ramp which you can use to escape the factory. Get back to the garage in Doherty, and stop in the red marker.

Purchase Zero's RC Shop for $30,000 and you will recieve a phone call from Zero himself. He tells you to stop by sometime. Make sure you do this mission at night time - it will be a lot easier. Zero explains the current situation. Berkley, a man who he once beat in fair competition, is back. Zero won first place in the science fair and Berkley is obsessed with revenge. Carl hears a bleeping sound. It's Berkley! The camera changes and Carl and Zero are seen on the roof of the RC store. Berkley has sent RC choppers to take out Zero's trasmitters. The camera switches to first-person and you are given a vulcan mini gun. Zero is standing towards the right with a fire extinguisher incase one of the transmitters is hit. You must protect Zero's transmitters and shoot down the attacking RC choppers. They spawn from all angles at a constant rate. Protect the transmitters for 3 whole minutes, to complete the mission.

Collect this mission from Zero's RC shop at some point during daytime. Zero says he is busy and demands that Carl leaves. Carl finds Zero hanging from his underwear at the back of the store - Berkley came back and humiliated him. Carl wants to help Zero get revenge. Berkley has his sycophantic lackeys do all his deliveries. Your task is to bring Berkely's mail order model business to it's knees! You find yourself controlling an RC baron, and a fuel meter appears on-screen, so you must act quickly. Lift off and take a sharp left turn. Go after the worker on the BMX bicycle. Go up behind him (flying fairly low, at this point) and tap 'Square' repeatedly to slow down. Shoot once using L1 and he will get off the bike. Waste him. Now go after the van which is very close by. It should be turning the corner at this point. Fly low and approach it from behind. Again, tap 'Square' repeatedly to slow down and begin shooting at the back of the van. The driver will fall out of the van. Waste him. Refer to your map constantly to see where the targets are located. Now go for the next van, which is only a few blocks away. Make sure you fly reasonably high so as not to crash into buildings/traffic lights or lamposts, wasting both time and fuel. As always, approach the van from behind and begin to slow down. Shoot at the van constantly until it blows up, but make sure you aren't too close to the van or you may cause damage to the baron. The van will try and get away, but it doesn't take many shots to blow up, so it's hardly something to worry about.

2 to go! Goto the nearest enemy, which in this case would be the sanchez bike. There are lots of traffic lights in the area where the sanchez is, so approach it when it has stopped. As soon as you shoot at the bike, the gunner will shoot at the baron and the bike will attempt an escape. Waste them before they blow up the baron. Last but not least, go for the van which is close by. Approach the van from behind and shoot at it constantly until it blows up. The driver will get out of the van, but he's no harm to you. Waste him, and get back to Zero's RC store. At this stage, you should have about 40% of your fuel remaining. If you don't, it is doubtful that you are going to pass the mission. Zero will give you warnings as to how much fuel you have left, but don't let them put you off. Stop in the red marker (tap 'Square' repeatedly to slow down before you land) on top of Zero's store, to complete the mission.

Zero and Berkley are still at each other's necks. This is it - the showdown, both of their lives are at stake and the loser will have to leave San Fierro for good! Erm yeah, they take the RC thing just a bit too seriously. If Zero can get his RC bandit into Berkley's compound (safely) Berkley will have to leave San Fierro for good. However, Berkley has an RC chopper dropping many items on the path leading to the compound, therefore blocking Zero's route. You control an RC chopper, and you must remove these objects to clear Zero's route. You have a total of 08.00 to complete the mission. Zero has 3 bandits, so if one is destroyed he will spawn in another, but will have to start from the beginning. The bandit's health level appears on-screen. Begin by removing one or two of the barrels (land on top of them, and press 'Circle') and abandon them anywhere besides the path. Zero will tell you at what point he requires help, so be listening at all times. Get back to the base and pickup a wooden plank. Make your way to the two sections land seperated by a river, and release the plank (press 'Circle') to form a bridge. Now remove the next few barrels, and head back to base. Pickup a bomb, and drop it on Berkley's tank, which will attack Zero's bandit as soon as it reaches that point. Collect another bomb from the base, and blow up the second tank. Head back to base and pickup another wooden plank. Drop it to form the final bridge that Zero has to cross. Clear any remaining obstacles, so that Zero can gain access to the compound.

At Woozie's betting store, a member of staff takes you upstairs to meet Woozie himself. He warns you of the bosses curse -- he's blind. So how was he able to race cars earlier in the game? Well, he's blessed with unbelievable good fortune - apparently. Woozie "re-introduces" himself. He is boss of the Mountain Cloud Boys, and as Dai Dai Lo it is his job to ensure that disputes are settled without damaging important business. Woozie talks of a triad that failed to visit the last tong meeting. He wants you to go with him and meet the triad, to see how they handle things without unecessary violence. The Blood Feather Triad have a storehouse around the corner, which is handy. Find a car, and take Woozie to the storehouse. Stop in the red marker, and follow Woozie. Suddenly, pedestrians are screaming and running for their lives. There seems to be a disturbance. Woozie notices that the gate is open, which is unusual. The Triads are dead, and there is fire everywhere. A garage opens, and a triad explains that he was too scared to fight, so he hid in there. Woozie demands to know what happened. The viatnamese caught them by surprise, and wiped out the Blood Feather Triad. They're coming back!

A car arrives containing 4 viatnamese gangsters, and a health bar appears for Woozie. Kill the Da Nang Boys and protect him. Walk out of the alley and 2 more sets will appear, this time on bikes. There are many more around the corner, including as a sniper. Leave no survivors. Get in the car with Woozie. The viatnamese are blocking the exit. Woozie reverses out of the alley, and tells CJ to take the wheel. Let Woozie finish off the attackers (two cars), and take him back to his place. You can help Woozie by performing a standard drive-by shooting, using L2 and R2 to look left and right.

You are introduced to Shuk Foo Ran Fa Li. Ran Fa Li heads up the Red Gecko Tong, a Triad gang. Ah Ah Kung has sent word from Kowloon that a viatnamese crime family, the Da Nang Boys, are preparing a move to the United States. This could explain the cowardly attack on the Blood Feather Triad. The Shuk Foo would like a package retrieved. Your task is to pickup the car from the airport car park, and take it to the garage. Drive through the red marker at the airport, and into the underground car park. Follow the blue blip on the radar, and get inside the Manana. Not surprisingly, it's an ambush and the Da Nang Boys are covering the exits.

Perform a drive-by shooting and kill the gangster that exits the van blocking the exit. Squeeze through the gap between the van and the wall, and speed towards the main exit. A damage bar appears on-screen for the vehicle. If the car explodes, the mission is failed. As you exit the car park, turn left and another viatnamese gangster will attack. Simply drive over him. There is another van up ahead, with two gangsters standing at each side. Drive around the van and continue heading towards the exit. As you leave the airport, more viatnamese will follow, this time on a bike. Go onto the freeway, and follow the blip to reach your destination. As you drive from one end of the city to the other, more viatnemse will follow, on bikes and in cars. Don't fight back just yet - focus on your destination. When you finally reach the garage in North San Fierro, stop in the red marker.

The Da Nang Boys are watching the appartment, and as soon as Farlie leaves they will attempt an assassination. CJ suggests luring them out somewhere quiet so that Farlie can leave safely. Get into the decoy car, and drive out to Angel Pine. If you exit the car, the mission is automatically failed. Stop in the red marker at Angel Pine. 2 bikes arrive, driven by the Da Nang Boys. The vehicle's damage bar appears on-screen, and it musn't empty. Drive through the countryside covering all of the checkpoints, so that Farlie can escape Chinatown safely. If the doors get damaged, the Da Nang Boys can see inside the car and they will realise that it was a trick. The car you are given (a Rancher) is slow, but sturdy, so it's quite good for using in the countryside. The first part of your journey is bumpy, and the enemy will no doubt get some good shots at you, but once you pass the bridge it's an easy ride to victory. You should be able to stay a good distance in front of the enemy, so they won't be able to shoot. Drive through the various checkpoints until you eventually reach the gas station. Stop in the red marker, and Guppy calls. He checks that you are okay, and announces that Farlie got out safely. A job well done.

Woozie has another job for you, but it requires the ability to swim well underwater. Press 'Circle' whilst in the water to dive under. The more practice you gain, the higher your lung capacity. Woozie says he is afraid of deep water, but we all know the real reason he won't do it. He confesses that he is blind, although, he has trained his senses to a point where you wouldn't notice his handicap. They'd be quite useless underwater. Get to the docks! The boat that you have to plant the bug on is anchored out at sea. You will have to swim to it, however, there are Da Nang Boys patrolling the route. Swim to the tanker and get aboard. You must swim through the red markers, and dive underwater in cases where the route is blocked. The main route across the water is guarded by two patrol boats. If they spot you, dive underwater to lose their attention. If you swim on the surface of the water you will be spotted. There are also spotlights searching the area. The large circles on the radar represent the spotlights and their current position.

Swim to the far side of the tanker, and goto the red marker. Press 'Square' to climb on board, and go upstairs. You must sneak to the back of the tanker to plant the bug, but be quiet so as not to attract the attention of the guards. The red blips on the radar represent the enemy. The arrows point in the direction that the enemy is facing. Examine the enemy's route, and perform a stealth attack to kill them -- crouch, walk up behind them and hold 'Circle' with the knife. When you reach the back of the tanker, enter the room, and go downstairs to the red marker. Press 'Triangle' to plant the bug, and get back to the dock. Stop in the red marker to complete the mission.

The Da Nang ThangIMAGE

Woozie was just leaving as you entered. This is the big one, he says -- the one that seals his place in the Red Gecko Tong. Woozie recieves a phone call from Little Lion. It's bad news. The Da Nang boys are arriving today on a container ship. Little Lion and Guppy are boarding a helicopter, preparing to do some fly by's of the ship. Woozie leaves and says he'll call you in a week or so at his new location, providing everything goes well. CJ offers his services, and enters the chopper. The camera changes to first-person as the Triad flies towards the container ship. You are given a vulcan mini gun, and you must shoot as many of the Da Nang Boys as possible. The chopper is shot down and unfortunately this cannot be prevented. The chopper plunges into the water, but CJ survives. You lose all of your weapons, except the knife. Swim over to the freighter and board the ship. Make your way down into the hull of the ship.

Be quiet for aslong as possible, otherwise the guards will spot you. Use the knife to perform stealth attacks on the enemy. There are several viatnamese gangsters on board. Follow the blip on the radar, and stop in the red marker. Some refugees are being held in a container in the hull of the ship. Waste all of the Da Nang Boys (there are various health and armor icons scattered across the ship, if you need any), and shoot the padlock on the front of the container to free the refugees. They say that "Snakehead" tricked them. Go and get Snakehead -- he is in the cabin at the front of the ship. There are more guards up ahead, and they will defend Snakehead at all costs. Snakehead gives you a katana. A few slashes should kill him. Go back and meet the refugees -- they will lower some dingies into the water. The refugees thank you for your help.

Zero has developed a tracking device which notes the location of a vehicle on your wishlist based on cellphone calls made by the driver. Everytime the driver makes a call, her location appears on the radar as a red blip. Follow her, and don't let her trail go cold! Once you have found her, clip the back end of her car - like you learned in driving school - to spin her out of control. Steal the car and take it back to your garage in Doherty.

Cesar is told that another car on their wishlist is being loaded onto a container down at the docks. His contact has marked the container with a spray can.

Get in a car with Cesar and head over to the docks. Get into the crane and start lifting containers onto the ground so that Cesar can find the one that you're looking for. Once it is found, security arrives and Cesar's health bar appears on-screen. Kill off any attackers and make your way back to the garage in Doherty.

Cesar has found yet another car on the wishlist but the car is too fast and the driver is too quick. Carl suggests fitting a vehicle with stinger traps to pop the driver's tires, enabling you to steal the car.

Get in the modded car and follow the driver. You are given a total of three stingers to use. Timing must be perfect - drive quickly in front of the driver and as you are doing so, release one of the stinger traps. The driver flees. Steal the car and return to the garage on Doherty.

This marks the end of the Steal Car mission strand. Wang Cars showroom now generates a maximum of $8000, so be sure to collect it regularly.

The mystery caller's voice can be heard over a loudspeaker. Carl demands to know what info he has about Sweet. First however, he would like to see what you are made of. One of the caller's workers explains your task. Using the monster truck, you must get to each set of co-ordinates (represented by red markers) as quickly as possible. Make it to all of them and then get the truck back to the ranch. Lose the truck, and you fail. The truck has 4 wheel steering instead of a handbreak, so use 'Square' to decellerate.

After the cutscene, get inside the monster truck. As soon as you enter, a timer appears on-screen and you must get a better time than 06.30. The monster truck is tough and sturdy, so you don't have to stick to the roads. Instead, drive over the rocks, grass and desert to your destination. Don't go too quickly, or you risk falling over the edge of a rock/mountain, and it can be difficult to recover. It is very unlikely that the monster truck will topple, but if it does, play around with the left analog stick until you flip back over. The only thing that is likely to disrupt your journey at the jagged rocks that stick out from the ground in the deserty areas, so watch out for those. Go through all 35 markers to complete the mission.

Reward depends on the time you finished: $5000 for 1st, $4000 for 2nd, $3000 for 3rd, $2000 for 4th and $1000 for 5th.

*The mystery character calls again. He tells you to get back to the ranch immediately, so that he can explain everything.

Mike Toreno greets Carl, and Carl admits that he screwed him over. Toreno doesn't care, and goes onto explain that he works for a government agency, but it's not important which one. Toreno's involvment with the Loco Syndicate was simply a means of gaining money and making new contacts. He needs you to do things that he cannot be caught doing. Toreno wants you to comandeer a truck - a rival agency with a confused social agenda. They have things that he needs. However, it is a two man job. Toreno suggests using your sister's boyfriend, Cesar. You need to use the bike in order to get Cesar close enough to the truck.

Pickup Cesar and catch up with the truck, which is heading to Foster Valley from Tierra Robada. It is crossing the Garver Bridge. Get on the bike with Cesar and drive up the hill, onto the Kincaid Rail Bridge. Speed across the bridge, drive past the Xoomer garage and go onto the freeway. Pull upto the left hand side of the truck and hold the bike in position until Cesar is ready to jump. You must stay close to the door of the cab. After the jump, get in the truck with Cesar and take it back to the garage in Doherty. Stop in the red marker - Cesar takes the wheel, and Carl guides him into the garage.

Toreno needs a favour, but Carl wants to know more about his brother. Toreno explains - he's in prison up state, D wing Cell 13. To the left he's got a child killer, who wants to rip his throat out, and to the right of him he's got a white supremacist, who wants to eat his heart. Toreno reveals that Tenpenny and Pulaski killed Officer Pendelbury after he threatened to expose their operation. He ensures you that Sweet is fine. He then goes onto explain your task - there is precious cargo that needs collecting.

Grab the BF Injection outside Toreno's ranch, and goto El Castillo del Diablo. Stop in the red marker, and Toreno speaks to you through a loudspeaker. Choose a vehicle (bike or dune buggy), pickup the Rocket Launcher and get to the drop point. Choose the bike, and head upto the top of the mountain. Stop in the red marker, and again, Toreno speaks to you via another loudspeaker. CJ drops the flare and a chopper arrives with the cargo. Toreno says the pilot is having trouble. Suddenly, two agency choppers appear and begin to attack. Protect the contraband helicopter from the spooks. A healthbar appears for the chopper. Shoot down the two choppers as quickly as possible, and more will arrive. Wait until they are fairly close before shooting, to ensure that you don't run out of rockets. The closer you are to the chopper, the more likely you are to hit it. The chances that you'll hit a chopper which is far away, are low. You gain a 2 star wanted level. The chopper leaves the scene and drops the package in the middle of the desert. Go and pick it up. Toreno talks to you through yet another loudspeaker, and tells you to get the package back to Las Brujas. Stop in the red marker in the garage, to complete the mission.

"Look at this history", Toreno says. "It's all lies, it says that Hitler killed himself and that we nuked Japan". Anyway, Toreno says he used Sweet as an excuse to get you to jobs for him. They aren't releasing him yet, but they are looking after him. Toreno needs Sweet alive as much as you do - apparently. After that last bit of work, there's a price on your head. Toreno needs you to start doing some real wet work. Goto the abandoned airstrip and buy it. It will cost you $80,000. If you don't have this amount of money, go out and earn it. Once you have purchased the property, go into the office where you will see a red marker. Walk into it, and you'll recieve a phonecall from Toreno. You are going to have to learn to fly. Toreno has set out a series of tests for you. Access these tests via the television in front of you. You must prove that you know how to fly, if you are to continue working towards your brother's freedom. You must obtain a score of 70% or above to pass each test. For each test you pass, your flying skill is upgraded (that is, if you haven't already got 100% flying skill). Walk into the red marker to begin.

    Press and hold 'X' to accelerate along the runway. Just as the plane's tail begins to rise, pull back on the left analog stick to lift the nose, and take off. As soon as you take off, press R3 to retract the landing gear. [Do not take your finger off the 'X' button. The only thing you need to do is move the left analog stick up or down, do not move it from side to side or you will create problems for yourself. When you move the left analog stick, move it very slowly or you risk losing control of the plane] Fly towards the first corona at a steady speed. Go through it, and slowly adjust the analog stick to point the nose downwards. Fly through the second corona, and again, slowly adjust the left analog stick to point the nose upwards.     As soon as you gain control of the plain, press R3 to lower the landing gear. Move steadily downwards and go through the corona.   • Circle Airstrip
    You are given the option of flying clockwise or anti-clockwise. Clockwise would be the more sensible choice. Use the skills you learned in the first test to take off - hold 'X' to accelerate along the runway and pull back on the left analog stick as the tail rises, to take-off. The main thing to remember is that you are flying around in a huge circle. Do not fly in straight lines towards each corona, but instead fly in a large circular movement. If you imagine the route as being a huge circle you shouldn't have to worry about the location of the next corona, as you can "predict" where it is going to be. Your overall score is based on 2 factors - the time taken and your damage penalty, if any.

  • Circle Aistrip and Land
    Again, select clockwise and repeat the steps in the previous test. This time, however, you must land after flying through the final corona. As you near the final corona, bank left (slightly) and use the skills you learned in test-two to land the plane in the red marker. Your overall score is based on 3 factors - the time taken, your final position score and your damage penalty, if any.

  • Helicopter Takeoff
    Before doing anything, let the blades spin until they are as fast as they can possibly go. Press and hold 'X' to accelerate upwards. A message will appear on-screen asking you to release 'X', to level off. Rotate the helicopter 180 degrees by holding L2 or R2. Push the left analog stick forward slightly to point the nose down 45 degrees. Follow the yellow blip on the radar. Keep the nose pointed forwards, and vary between the 'Square'and 'X' buttons, so that you maintain a good speed without going too high. Fly through the corona to complete the test. Your overall score is based on 2 factors - the time taken and the damage penalty, if any.

  • Land Helciopter
    Use the skills you learned in the previous test to fly towards the red marker. Pull the left analog stick back and tap 'Square' repeatedly as you approach, to decellerate. Land in the middle of the red marker. Your overall score is based on the time taken, your final position and your damage penalty.

  • Destroy Targets
    Use the skills you have learned to fly towards the 3 vans at the end of the airstrip. Don't fly too low, or you will miss the targets completely. Tap 'Square' repeatedly as you approach the targets, and begin firing rockets (using 'Circle). Fire as many as you can, and as quickly as you can, and destroy the 3 vans. Quickly turn 180 degrees (using L2) and fly towards the moving vans. Again, slow down as you approach and begin firing as quickly as you can. Destroy both targets and again, turn 180 degrees, and head back to the airstrip. Land in the red marker. Your overall score is based on the time taken, your final position score and the damage penalty.

  • Loop the Loop
    Hold 'X' to maintain height and speed. As soon as you pass through the corona, pull back on the left analog stick to perform a loop. Push forward on the left analog stick just before you level off and go through the second corona. Your overall score is based on the time taken and the damage penatly, if any.

  • Barrel Roll
    Hold 'X' to main height and speed. As soon as you pass through the first corona, push the analog stick left to perform a barrel roll. The nose must be pointed slightly upwards before attempting the barrel roll, otherwise you will heard straight towards the ground. Level off and pass through the second corona. Your overall score is based on the time taken and the damage penalty.

  • Parachute onto Target
    Let CJ fall for about 10 seconds. Then push the left analog stick forward to accelerate. A message will appear on-screen, telling you to release the parachute. Do so, as soon as this message appears (press 'Circle'). Pull back on the left analog stick to move forward rapidly. Time it so that you land in the middle of the red marker. Your overall score is based on the time taken, and your final position score.

Toreno catches you by surprise. He's got some guys out in a field that need some equipment. If they don't get it, they'll be dead by nightfall. Toreno can't do it himself because he has 5 people watching him at all times - one DEA, one FBI, a Russian, a Cuban double agent and Toreno's paymasters. You're not ready yet, so you must stay low on the radar. The plane is loaded and ready to go, so get inside. Take off, and raise the landing gear. Toreno tells you to use the canyon as cover, but instead, fly towards the water and stay low. A timer appears on-screen, and you have 10.00 minutes to complete the mission. A visibility bar appears on screen, and the longer you fly above the radar limit, the more it increases. The plane can get pretty fast, which will put you off if you go below the radar limit. Tap 'Square' repeatedly to decellerate, so that you can regain full control of the rustler.

When you reach Angel Pine, fly through the corona to trigger the drop, and make your way back to the airstrip. Lower the landing gear and land the plane, to complete the mission.

Some traitors from another department think they can help the 'overseas situation' by financing militaristic dictators in exchange for arms contracts. They've stolen a consignment of lands mines and plan to offload them in the middle east. One of Toreno's associates has given you the go-ahead to kill them. 'Them', as in government agents. Get on the bike, and the pilot will immediately spot you. The plane stops loading cargo, and attempts an escape (with the cargo-ramp still down). Speed towards the ramp. Ignore the shootists up-ahead, and keep focused on the plane. Some of the cargo falls out of the plane, so drive slightly towards the right, so as to avoid them.

Once you're trapped on board, a barrel is seen sweeping your bike out the back of the plane. Duck into the left, and wait until all of the barrels have rolled out the plane. There are some guards up ahead. Shoot at each of them once, or use your fists - if you shoot too many times, you may shoot the cargo causing the plane to explode. Kill the guard with the parachute, and swipe it. Throw a satchel, and escape the same way you came in. You have 20 seconds before the plane explodes.

You might want to save your game before this mission, as it's without a doubt one of the best in the game. Truth is checking that you're no longer on government business (working with Toreno). He warns you about Toreno, and goes onto explain your task. There's a place not even on the map where the 'Black Project' is being developed. Truth wants you to break in and collect it. Truth takes you to the Area 69 compound, via the mothership. You must gain entry to the research labs before sunrise (05.30).

There are searchlights sweeping the area. Observe their routine and plan your route around them. If you stay in a searchlight's beam for too long or shoot too many out you will be spotted and the control tower will lock down the facility. This will force you to find an alternative route in. There are also several military personnel patrolling the area. Use the thermal goggles that The Truth gave you to help you see them in the dark. You can use stealth to avoid patrols or climb to the top of a control tower and use your sniper rifle to take them out. When goggles are selected, press to toggle thermal vision on and off.

By the time you reach the control tower, you'll be spotted one way or another and the searchlights will change to tracking mode. Chances are the blast doors will have shut by the time you get there, so goto the vent (yellow blip on the radar) and shoot it. Drop down into the vent, and make your way towards the Area 69 interior. There's also a health pickup in the vent, if you need one.

Make your way through Area 69 to the research lab which will give you access to the black project. There are several military personnel on patrol throughout the installation. The control room will allow you to deactivate some of Area 69's exterior defenses, which will aid your escape. The guards are represented by the red blips on the radar. The blips point in the direction that the guards are facing. Use this information to observe their route, and kill them. When you enter the research lab, head in a north easterly direction for aslong as possible, and then turn left. Follow the path and continue moving towards the 'Black Project'. Pickup the ID card and walk into the red marker, to gain access to the launch bay, where the Black Project is being stored. There are guards everywhere as you move down the stairs. Leave no survivors. At the very bottom of launch bay, lies the Black Project - a $60,000,000 project - yes, a jetpack! Walk into the jetpack. Keep your finger on 'X' to accelerate. More guards will shoot as you exit the compound. Use the left analog stick to move forward, and get the jetpack back to Truth.

*After the mission, Truth calls. You've got a date with destiny, apparently. Go and see him.
Note: There are several ways to explore Area 69 after completing this mission. Get the jetpack and goto the Vinewood mansion (the one that is available for purchase). Go round the back, to the swimming pool, and find the weak section on the wall. Walk into it whilst using the jetpack, and let yourself sink for a moment or two. You'll now appear "under" the city. Use your pause-menu map as a guide and fly to Area 69 with the jetpack. You will gain a 5 star wanted level when you get there. Go under the interior with the jetpack and fall for about 60 seconds (take your hands off the controller completely). You are automatically taken into the Area 69 interior, and you are free to explore it. To get rid of the cops, enter the 'Never wanted' cheat:

Truth wants you to take the jetpack, land on a train, kill the guards and take whatever they least want you to get. He can't fly the jetpack at all, so you'll have to do it. Take the jetpack and fly towards prickle pine, where the train is located. You cannot take off the jetpack until the mission is complete. The guards will shoot as you approach the train. You can shoot from above whilst using jetpack - press R1 to aim and 'Circle' to shoot. You can also steady yourself by holding L2 and R2 at the same time. Land on the back of the train, and kill any guards that get in your way.

There are 3 crates on the train, and one of them contains the 'green goo'. Make your way to the first crate and shoot it to smash it open. The crate is empty. Continue moving towards the front of the train, again, killing any guards that attack. Shoot the second crate, which again has nothing in it. The third crate contains the 'green goo' that Truth wants. Collect the jar of green goo and take it back to Truth, at the abandoned airstrip. Truth doesn't explain it's purpose, but he seems to know what it is. He takes the jar of green goo and leaves via the mothership.

Woozie is trying to setup a triad casino in a mafia run town. The mafia are constantly troubling him and interrupting the casino's setup plans. He goes onto explain that there are 3 mob families in Las Venturas, each owning a stake at Caligula's Casino. It's run by "some whacked out lawer" (Rosenberg). So who's causing all this trouble? It could be any one of the families, or it could be all of them, Woozie says. He wants to offer you a share in the casino in exchange for some help in setting it up. Carl accepts the offer. One of Woozie's men rushes into the office with the news that they found some thugs trying to smash one of the deliveries. They managed to catch one of them, and he's being held downstairs. Carl orders the Triads to tie the thug to the front of a car, and he'll meet them down there. It's time to take a little ride..

You must scare the thug until he tells you what mob family he is involved with. A scare-o-meter appears on-screen. Speed up and down the strip, and perform handbreak turns to scare him and increase the scare-o-meter. Remember, however, that head-on collisions will kill him and the mission is automatically failed. The faster you drive, the more you scare him. Driving on the wrong side of the road will increase the scare-o-meter rapidly. Do not drive onto the freeways or the cops will chase - stick to The Strip. Once the scare-o-meter is full, the mobster will accidently reveal his connections. He is working for the Sindacco Family, and he swears revenge. Take Sindacco back to the Four Dragons Casino, and stop in the red marker to complete the mission.

Woozie is playing golf in the office. His worker changes the position of the target, enabling Woozie to get a hole-in-one. So much for being "blessed with unbelievable good fortune". Anyway, they now know that the Sindacco's are one's responsible for cowardly attacks. Carl suggests hitting a mafia casino -- pulling a heist. You'll need a crew and some special equipment. And as for explosives - Woozie says there is an open cast mine south west of the city limits.

Goto the Hunter Quarry and walk into the red marker! You must enter the quarry and steal the dynamite before the workers detonate it. A timer appears on-screen and begins counting down from 2.30. If the timer runs out, the dynamite will be detonated and the mission is failed. Jump down into the heart of the quarry and get inside the dumper. Use the dumper to drive over the crates (containing the dynamite), and smash them open. When a crate has been smashed, get out of the vehicle and collect the dynamite. There are 4 sticks of dynamite altogether. One is being transported via a forklift. Drive into the forklift with the dumper and it will drop the crate. Again, drive over the crate to smash it open, and collect the stick of dynamite. After all 4 sticks are collected, a cutscene begins. Security is blocking the exit, so you must find an alternative route out. Get on the bike, and follow the arrows to get out of the quarry. Experiment with the different jumps and judge what speeds you'll have to go to move onto the next marker. When you are out of the quaary, goto the drop point and Carl will give the dynamite to the Triad.

Woozie and Carl are playing cards, when suddenly, a Triad bursts into the room explaining yet another problem. There are 2 chips, and one is clearly a fake. Woozie says that the Sindacco Family have a plastics factory across town, so it obviously came from there.

Head towards the factory unit on the outskirts of town - you are going to "disturb" their operation. The mobsters have guards watching the main entrance, so try and get in unnoticed. As soon as you enter the compound, the mafia will see you and warn the boss. Now is your chance, get inside the factory as quickly as you can! The mafia will attack from all angles, so find a suitable place to take cover. Eliminate them, and destroy the 8 injection molding machines that are scattered across the interior. You can use auto-aim to destroy the machines. Also, when destroying them, be sure to stay at a safe distance so as not to get involved in the explosion. Get back to the Four Dragons Casino in one piece and stop in the red marker, to complete the mission.

Walk into the red marker outside the Four Dragons Casino to start this mission. Truth calls, and he needs a favour. He took some friends deep into the desert on a peyote safari, and woke up in a japanese bath house in Los Santos an hour ago. He has no idea how he got there and he doesn't know where the others are. They were brits - a band and their managers. Truth wants you to check it out, and see if they are okay.

Make your way to Arco del Oeste, and pickup Paul and Maccer! Be sure to take a car with 4 doors. When you arrive, stop in the red marker and a cutscene will begin. We are introduced to Kent Paul (the same Kent Paul in GTA Vice City) and his friend Maccer. Lord knows what they got upto last night..

Take Paul and Maccer to look for the rest of the band. They say they remembered snakes, so drive to the snake farm down the road. During the journey, Paul says he is feeling sick and asks you to pull over. It's not entirely necessary.. but if you'd like to see him throw up, by all means, pull over! Some rednecks attack Paul and Maccer, and a chase begins. Take Paul and Maccer to meet Rosie (Ken Rosenberg) at Caligula's Casino in Las Venturas. The rednecks will constantly chase and attack your vehicle, although, they won't cause much harm. When you arrive, Paul decides it's time to take out the trash. Help Paul and Maccer eliminate the rednecks, and watch as they goto meet Rosie. Rosie seems mentally depressed. Paul wants a word with him alone, and promises to call you later when he needs you. Outside the casino, Carl calls Woozie and says he's found a way to scope Caligula's without too much suspicion.

Paul has persuaded Rosie to explain all of his problems to Carl, to see if he can help. Rosie explains: he had everything -- the money, the girls, but he couldn't lay off the blow. After coming out of rehab, he started representing the Liberty City mob (again). The 3 mob families (Leone, Sindacco and Forelli) all own part of Caligula's, and they couldn't decide between themselves who should run the casino. Therefore, Rosie was put forward as a neutral party and if one mob screws the other, Rosie will be killed. So the current situation is: Johnny Sindacco is in a shock induced coma in the hospital across town. This is a good opportunity for the Forelli's to waste him.

Goto the hospital across town and pickup Johnny Sindacco! Johnny Sindacco was the guy you scared in the mission 'Fender Ketchup'. Stop in the red marker, and Carl speaks to the receptionist. She says there must be some mistake, because Johnny Sindacco was picked up by an ambulance a short moment ago. There are 3 ambulances driving around the city, each represented by a red blip on the radar. One of those ambulances has Johnny Sindacco inside -- get a fast vehicle and find that ambulance before it escapes. The ambulance with Johnny Sindacco inside is completely random (ie, if you keep re-doing the mission, it won't always be the same ambulance). Ram the ambulance to see the driver's reaction. A message will appear on-screen to tell you if you have hit the right one. When you hit the correct ambulance, it will speed off with Johnny Sindacco inside. Give chase, and ram it constantly but do not shoot the vehicle. Eventually, two mobsters will get out of the ambulance and attack. Waste them, and take Johnny back to the meat factory. Two cars will chase and attack, but they shouldn't cause much harm. Stop in the red marker and watch as two Sindacco mobsters take Johnny inside on a wheelchair.

Rosie is stoned, and he's still screwed. Carl motivates Rosie, and makes it clear that HE is the boss. Get a car and take Rosie to the Sindacco Abatoir. We're going to visit Johnny and win him over with some kind words during his convalescence.

Walk into the yellow marker to enter the abatoir. A cutscene begins, and Carl doesn't want to go any further for the obvious fact that Johnny will recognise him as the guy who put him in this poor condition. Rosie insists that Carl come along. Johnny's doing much better, he ate something this morning. He comes out of his office in a wheelchair and greets Ken, but as soon as he see's Carl, he clutches his heart and falls to the ground. The Sindacco's launch a full attack. One mobster throws a molotov cocktail, which creates a fiery barrier between two areas of the abatoir. Another mobster carrying a chainsaw walks towards CJ. Kill the mobster, and any other attackers while Ken looks for a fire extinguisher.

Rosie's healthbar appears on-screen. Protect him and kill all of the witnesses in the abatoir. The mobsters are shown on the radar as red blips and these blips point in the direction that the mobster is facing. Rosie hides in the freezer. Make sure nobody touches the switch otherwise he's locked in there for good, and whatever you do, do not follow him in. There are various health and armor icons scattered across the abatoir. There's a health icon back in Sindacco's office, if you need it. Go through the stockhouse to find the exit, and again, watch out for any attackers. A few mobsters are standing on top of the boxes, and will shoot from above. Walk into the yellow marker to leave the abatoir, and get Rosie back to Caligula's.

This mission can be accessed at the Royal Casino on The Strip. A drunken Maddogg is threatening to jump off the roof, after losing all of his money in the casino. He says it's not worth it anymore -- his manager was killed (in the mission 'Managment Issues') and somebody stole his rhyme book (in the mission 'Maddog's Rhymes'). He's attracted quite a crowd. Steal the pickup truck and save Maddog before he jumps! Stop in the red marker and the camera angle will switch automatically. Move the truck back and forth according to Maddogg's position. Keep the back of the truck lined up with Maddogg. If you positioned it correclty, Maddogg will jump and crash into the back of the truck. Maddog's health bar appears on-screen. Slowly and carefully drive Maddog to the hospital across town. Each collision reduces his chances of living. At the hospital, Maddog says he'll need a new manager when he gets out, and you're going to be that new manager.

Note: If Maddogg jumps before the cutscene is even finished, your save game is corrupt. This problem is caused by using the 'Peds Riot' cheat. The only thing you can do, unfortunately, is start a new game.

We meet Salvatore, a very familiar face for those of you that played GTA3. Maria enters the room, another very familiar face from GTA3. She has a sandwich for Salvatore, and this is the point where they first meet. Carl enters the scene, and explains to Salvatore how he once had the privellage of working with his son Joey in Liberty City. Carl offers his services, and Leone seems interested. The Forellis are sending over a crew to hit him. The flight will arrive soon. He was going to send down some of his boys as a little welcoming committee, but he wants to see if Carl can handle it.

Get to Las Venturas airport and steal the dodo from the hangar! The hitmen's plane is due to land soon. Fly to the point marked on the radar, and intercept the plane before it lands. Fly at a height just above the clouds. When you reach the location, the plane is actually stopped in mid-air. Do a 180 degree turn and fly through the red corona to trigger the cutscene. CJ jumps onto the Forelli's jet.

You are now inside the jet, and the camera changes to first-person. Use L2 and R2 to take cover, and waste the 4 mobsters on-board. The pilot isn't giving up without a fight. Waste the pilot, and fly the plane back to Las Venturas. Stop on the runway to complete the mission.

*If you've completed the mission 'Misappropriation', you will now recieve a phonecall from Officer Tenpenny. He wants to meet someplace quiet so that you can hand over the dossier. Meet C.R.A.S.H in Las Brujas (near the devil's castle) in the desert.

You might want to save your progress before starting this mission - it's quite a good one, so you'll no doubt want to replay it a few times. Salvatore seems to be getting on well with Maria. Paul and Rosie have been given a bit more freedom, but Maccer remains hanging upside down. Salvatore asks if you would like to do a hit in Liberty City. Carl agrees, but says he'll need some backup. He asks Rosie, Paul and Maccer to join him. Outside Caligula's, Maccer, Paul and Rosie get inside a taxi. CJ tells them to get out of Venturas fast.

Goto Las Venturas airport and get in the jet at the end of the runway. Fly to Liberty City. Don't go too high, or you will miss the trigger point -- stay just below the clouds. When you reach Liberty City, a cutscene begins. A taxi pulls up at the Saint Marks Bistro, and CJ gets out. CJ enters the bistro, and a mobster says it's private function only. "Mr. Leone says otherwise", Carl replies. A classic shootout begins. Kill all of Forelli's bodyguards! There are 4 upstairs and two more will arrive soon. Kill the other 2 downstairs, and also the 2 behind the counter. Move into the hallway that leads down into the kitchen. Another mobster appears from around the corner. Kill him, and move into the kitchen. Kill the 2 mobsters, and go into the yard at the back of the bistro. There are more bodyguards in the yard, and Forelli is taking cover behind a barrel. He has a red arrow above his head. Kill Forelli and all of his bodyguards. The camera changes, and you are automatically back inside the jet. Fly back to Las Venturas and land, to complete the mission.

*You recieve a phonecall from Sweet. He's convinced that he's going to be in jail for life, but Carl assures him he'll get out soon. Sweet says he's stuck between 2 lunactics that keep trying to jump him.

*Salvatore calls and comments on the marvelous job you done at Saint Marks. He says they should stay clear of each other for a while, otherwise people will start making connections. He'll call soon.

Architectural EspionageIMAGE

Woozie is down in the basement with the lights turned off, although, he doesn't realise. The basement is large and quiet -- perfect for planning a heist. Woozie says you'll need a plan of Caligula's before you do anything else.

You need a camera to photograph the blueprints of Caligula's. Go and steal one from some of the tourists on the Strip, outside Pirates in Men's Pants. Once you have obtained the camera, head over to the city's planning department. The security is strict, so don't cause any trouble and do not show any of your weapons. Once inside, go and talk to the receptionist. Press 'right' (twice) to respond positively and gain permission to see the blueprints. Go to the very top floor. You can't photograph the blueprints with the guards watching, so you'll need to divert their attention. Go downstairs and destroy the old air con units with your weapons. The fire alarm sounds, and the building is evacuated. That will keep the guards busy. Go back upstairs and photograph the blueprints of Caligula's. You automatically gain a 2 star wanted level. Crouch, select a weapon of your choice and make your way downstairs. There are cops at every turn you make. When you finally reach the bottom of the stairs, choose a weapon you can run with. More cops are preparing an attack, so quickly go through the door and run towards the exit.

Outside, you'll gain a 4 star wanted level. Grab a vehicle and get the blueprints back to the Four Dragons Casino. Stop in the red marker, and CJ hands the camera to some Triads so that the pictures can be developed.

Carl presents the plan to Woozie. The security at Caligula's consists of CCTV, key code access and a swipe card. One of Woozie's men walks in with a package for CJ. He see's the plan, which upsets Carl. Woozie says he will be your first recruit. Zero has sent a security card reader. Now you just need the card..

Luckily, there's always one guaranteed weak link in any security set up. The human heart. Goto Caligula's casino and stop in the red marker. The croupier has a keycard and knows the code. Follow her -- don't get too close or you will spook her and don't let her get too far infront or you'll lose her. A spook-o-meter appears on-screen. Follow Millie to the sex shop, and go inside. Walk into the red marker, and a cutscene begins. Millie is trying on some new clothes. Benny, her "master", calls. She's expecting to meet him at her house later on today. After Millie leaves the shop, walk into the changing room and put on the gimp suit. Leave the sex shop, and follow Millie home. Park in the red marker outside her house. Go infront of her house and look west. Kill Benny -- the pedestrian carrying the dildo. Go and ring Millie's doorbell. Watch the cutscene, as Carl gets to know Millie a little bit better.

Millie is now your girlfriend and you need to wine and dine her before she'll give you the keycard. This may take an awful long time. If you're not upto it, simply wait infront of her house until 12.00 and a red marker will appear. Walk into it, and wait for Millie. Gun down Millie, and a message will appear to say that you have killed your girlfriend. Shortly after, Woozie calls, and Carl explains the situation. Woozie suggests looking for the keycard in Millie's house, so do just that. Pickup the keycard, and Woozie calls again to make sure you have it.

Dam and BlastIMAGE

The basement far more populated than it was last time, and CJ isn't happy about it. CJ cannot get any co-operation because of the overcrowded basement. He leaves, saying that he's going to shut off the city's power source.

Goto Las Venturas airport and get in the plane at the end of the runway. You are going to have parachute onto the dam quay. Gain as much height as you can when flying -- you're going to have to fly above the clouds, at least. Goto the location marked on the radar and press 'Triangle' as soon as you fly through the red corona, to parachute out of the plane. Fall for about 5 seconds, and open your parachute. Land on the red marker at the dam quay and a cutscene begins. The next bit involves stealth. There are 2 guards patrolling the area. When the nearest guard is facing in the opposite direction, quickly run up and grab the knife that is next to the container. Examine the guard's route and perform a stealth attack by targeting with R1 and pressing 'Circle' as you walk up behind him. Waste both guards, and walk upto the red marker at the end of the dam qauy.

More guards have been notified of the disturbance, and the cops are on their way. This is all about stealth. There are several guards patrolling the area, each represented by a red blip on the radar. The blip faces in the direction that the guard is facing. Go up the stairs and walk over to the first generator. There are 5 generators altogether, each marked on the radar by a square yellow blip. Press 'Triangle' to plant the explosives, and move onto the next generator. Examine the route of guards and perform stealth attacks as you make your way across the interior. Plant explosives on all 5 generators, and walk into the red marker at the end.

The cops have arrived, and the hatch has been closed. CJ is trapped, or so it seems. He takes a big run, and dives into the water to lose the cops.

Cop WheelsIMAGE

CJ explains how the heist is going to be done. The plan is to get as much heat on CJ as possible while the others get away with the green. Zero talks about an armored van which casino's normally use to transport their cash, and that's what we'll need. The armored vans are also acommpanied by police bikes - outriders. CJ takes one of Woozie's men, to get the bikes.

There are 4 green blips on the radar, each representing a police bike that you can steal. The Triad is driving a packer on the Julius Thruway. You have 12 minutes to steal the 4 police bikes and get them safely onto the back of the packer. Some of the cops will try to get on their bikes as you approach them, so make sure you're armed and shoot them before they get away. Get onto the freeway and catch up with the packer. Begin to slow down as you approach it, and drive gently up the ramp to attach it to the packder. When the cutscene begins, the bike is secured onto the packer and Carl is given the thumbs up. Repeat this for all 4 police bikes to complete the mission.

Up, Up and Away!IMAGE

Woozie's taken care of the uniforms, now all we need is that armored van. The plan is to use a sky crane to lift the armored van to a safe place where it can be re-sprayed to include the Caligula's logo. None of your crew are pilots, so to nobody's surprise, Carl will be doing it. "It will be just like fighting Berkley, but much bigger!", Zero says.

Goto the restricted area marked on the radar. You'll need a military vehicle to get in, or, you could just use the jetpack like I did. Kill any attackers and move towards the west of the compound. Enter the warehouse and waste any guards. There is a health icon and an armor icon here, which you will no doubt need. Move through the warehouse and kill the guard on the stairs. The military have sent two gunships to intercept you. Use the gun emplacement to destroy them - walk into the red marker and shoot down the two Hunter's. Continue moving up the stairs, and eliminate all threats. Steal the helicopter and leave the military fuel dump. Now fly to the location of the armored van in West Venturas. Lower the helicopter over the bank van and use it's winch to pick it up - press 'Circle'. Fly at a reasonable height (so as not to smash the van off any buildings) and make your way over to the abandoned airstrip. Lower the copter and press 'Circle' to release the bank van in the red marker. Land the helicopter in the indicated zone to complete the mission.

Breaking the Bank at Caligula'sIMAGE

Time to break the bank at Caligula's. A cutscene begins showing Zero and Woozie preparing the armored van. They're en route to Caligula's. Carl is automatically given a croupier's outfit, 10 gas grenades and night vision googles. Make your way to Caligula's Casino!

Goto the staff door. Go downstairs and go into the backup generator room. Throw one of the gas grenades into the ventillation grill at the back of the room. A cutscene begins showing the two guards at the opposite end - choking, coughing and finally dying. Go down to the security door and use Millie's swipe card to open it! Zero blows the charges you placed at the dam, which causes the lighting to go out. Scroll through your weapons until you reach the night vision googles, and press 'Circle'. Head over to the service bay, where the crew are due to arrive. The gate is locked. Get inside the forklift and use the right analog stick to raise the gate. The crew enter in the armored van.

Follow Woozie's assitant to the bank, and waste any Leone attackers. Watch as the crew plant charges on the door. Zero announces that somebody is trying to bring the generators back up. He blames it on Berkley, who, for some unknown reason, found out that Zero was going to be involved in today's heist. Pickup the satchel charges beside the dead guards, and go upstairs. Put satchels on the two generators and go back down stairs. Use the detonator to destroy the generators.

The door is open, and the crew gain access to the safe. The money is taken, and Zero warns Carl of a some mafia gorilla's that are about to give them some company. Protect the crew and waste the Leone's. Guide the crew back to the service bay so that they can escape with the money. The Mafia will continue to attack as you make your way through Caligula's. Go back (wasting any attackers as you do so) and use the elevator to goto the top floor of the casino. Eliminate the last set of guards and go onto the roof. Climb several sections of the roof and collect the parachute. Jump off the roof and press 'Circle'. Try and land on the roof of The Clown's Pocket, opposite Caligula's. Kill the swat police, and grab the police chopper. Fly to the abandoned airstrip and land, to complete the mission.

Tenpenny and Pulaski are making a barbeque! One can only guess what they're cooking. It's been a long time.. Tenpenny explains. Things have developed since they last met. Despite their best efforts, the gig is nearly up, and the pair may lose their badges. CJ laughs at how edgy the officers have been, and Tenpenny replies with a punch in the stomach. There's a ruined town out west, Aldea Malvada. A DEA officer is meeting with an FBI agent to hand over a dossier. Make them disappear and get the evidence dossier for Tenpenny.

Get a sniper rifle or a rocket launcher. Head out to Aldea Malvada, but don't go upto the target just yet - stay at a safe distance for now. When you arrive, stand in the position shown in the screenshots below and snipe your target, or, blow up the two choppers as quickly as possible using the rocket launcher. The agent has a red arrow above his head. When you kill him, he will drop the dossier and more agents will try to collect the dossier and escape (via the chopper). Kill anybody who gets in your way and snatch the dossier to complete the mission. If the agent manages to get to his chopper, you're going to have to give a lengthy chase, but if you use my method correctly you shouldn't have to. Use one of the chopper's to get back into town.

Make sure you have a sniper rifle before starting this mission. An LSPD car pulls over, with Tenpenny, Pulaski and Hernandez inside. Pulaski, who seems surprisingly cheerful today, collects the evidence dossier. Carl asks if everything is cool now, when suddenly, Tenpenny pulls a spade from the hood of the car and whacks Hernandez. It is now known that Hernandez tried to expose Tenpenny and Pulaski, but somehow Tenpenny found out. "YOU SOLD US OUT", he screams. The C.R.A.S.H team are now clearly corrupt, and their use for Carl seems to be at an end. Tenpenny hands the spade over to CJ, and tells him to dig his own grave. Pulaski is told to take care of things, whilst Tenpenny leaves to "get drunk and get laid". He takes the dossier with him. Whilst digging, Carl tries to persuade Pulaski that Tenpenny is just using him. Pulaski points a gun towards CJ's head. The shooting is interupted when Hernandez climbs to his feet and makes one last attempt to cap his corrupt partner. Pulaski finishes him off and knocks him into his own grave, but Hernandez' gun has falls into CJ's hands..

Pulaski (a coward) runs for his car and attempts an escape. Here's the message you have been waiting to see for a long time - Kill Pulaski! Quickly use the sniper rifle to puncture 2 of Pulaski's tires, and get inside the bandito. Give chase, and watch as Pulaski makes hopeless attempts to control his vehicle. Don't attack his car just yet. Pulaski says that he has wanted to kill you for a long time, but Tenpenny always finds an excuse to keep you alive. Wait until he stops talking, then pull alongside and perform a drive-by until the vehicle catches fire. Don't let him get too far away, or he will escape. Pulaski jumps out of the burning vehicle, and a shootout begins. Don't mess around, Pulaski has a strong weapon and it will decrease your health quicker than you think. Gun him down, and watch the cutscene. Pulaski's last request is that he "f---'s your sister". Carl finishes him off with a powerful stomp to the head.

If you're having difficulty in the "gunning him down" stage, try ramming his vehicle off-road early on in the mission. With any luck, he'll fall over the canyon - therefore destroying his route. If the vehicle is in good condition after the fall, Pulaski will repeatedly drive into the wall in order to get back on his original route. Pull him out of the vehicle, and waste him. If the vehicle lands upside down and catches fire, Pulaski will flee and again simply gun him down. Also, Pulaski is a poor swimmer, so you can push his car into one of the rivers, but unfortunately this method disables the final cutscene which shows CJ finishing him off.

A Home in the HillsIMAGE

Woozie, CJ, and Kendl are auditioning midgets at the Four Dragons Casino. CJ and Kendl are tired of the casino business, and it clearly isn't as easy as they first thought it would be. Carl says they need some real talent, when, co-incidently, Madd Dogg walks through the door. He's clean now, but he's not quite ready to hit the stage. He wants to go home. Carl seems interested, as Madd Dogg's mansion would be a great place to set up in LS again. Madd Dogg shamefully admits that his mansion has been seized by the Vagos drug dealer, Big Poppa. Carl is furious, and says that they're all going home.

A new scene begins showing the flight out of Venturas towards Los Santos. Carl is inside the plane with 4 triads, and all are equipped with parachutes. Kendl calls to say that she's driving to San Fierro with Madd Dogg and Cesar, to check out things there first. The plan is to parachute onto Madd Dogg's mansion and clear the place so that the rest of the crew can move in - the element of surprise. The famous Vinewood sign is shown, with some Triads parachuting in the distance. Two Triads place flares on the helipad, to give the crew an indication of where to land.

Carl jumps out of the plane. Let yourself drop for about 2 seconds, and open the parachute. Guide your way towards Madd Dogg's mansion, and land on the helipad. Eliminate all Vagos gangsters. The Triads arrive shortly, and you must make sure that none of them die. Select a weapon that's powerful and easy to reload. There is an armor pickup on the helipad if you need it. When all threats have been eliminated, lead the Triads into the mansion.

One of the crew explains that they are heavily out-numbered, but that they should be able to pull it off if they stick together. After that statement, the Triad is killed by a Vagos gangster that was hiding in the room. Clear the hallway whilst two Triads check all of the rooms. Don't be tempted to go in the rooms and help the Triads - they can take a lot of heat, and trust me, you have plenty to deal with in the hallway. As you approach the end of the hallway, Vagos will start attacking from behind aswell as the front. There is an armor pickup in the second last room on the left. Big Poppa is downstairs - chase him down and waste anybody who gets in your way. Vagos are scattered throughout the mansion, and they attack as soon as you are spotted. There's a health icon in the dining room downstairs if you require it. Make your way through the mansion and chase Big Poppa. Eliminate all attackers to protect your health, as there is no rush to catch Big Poppa. Exit the mansion, and watch as Big Poppa attempts an escape. Get in the car, and give chase. The handling on the car is poor, so take your time until you get onto the freeway, and pickup the pace. Pull alongside Big Poppa, and perform a drive-by to ensure that he won't be returning. If (after his car explodes) your vehicle catches fire, don't be alarmed as a cutscene begins before it gets the chance to blow up.

You have taken back Madd Dogg's mansion.

Toreno interupts the recording of a song. Carl goes to meet him outside, and Toreno takes him for a ride into the country. Toreno asks if you'd like to see your brother this week. If so, you'll need to do one more job for him. That being - steal a military jet off an amphibious assault ship and use it to destroy a flotilla of spy ships.

Get in the boat, which contains a knife and a silenced pistol, and make your way to the amphibious assault ship. You must get into the back of the ship before the door closes. Using the boat, goto the rear of the ship and jump into the water. Swim into the back of the ship so that the guards don't see you. Examine the radar to see where the guards are located. Pull the mechanic out of the forklift and kill him (using the silenced pistol) before he triggers the alarm. Make your way through the ship to the control room, eliminating any threats with the silenced pistol. Walk into the red marker in the control room to deactivate the SAM sites. Steal one of the military jets and take-off. Press R3 to raise the landing gear, and push forward on the right analog stick for a moment to build up speed. Two military jets follow, and their task is to destroy you. When a jet is in sight, press R1 and wait until the targeting circle is red before firing (using 'Circle').

When both of the jets have been destroyed, head for the spy ships. As you approach one of the spy ships, pull back on the right analog stick to hover, or simply lower the landing gear to slow down. Again, target the ships using R1 and fire when the circle turns red. Destroy all 4 ships and land the Hydra at the abandoned airstrip.

CJ is busy on the phone, when Toreno hangs it up. He has one more job for you but Carl has had just about enough, and points a gun towards his head. Toreno has a surprise for you, and tells you to answer the phone. It's Sweet, and he has been released from prison, although he has no idea why. Toreno's last job is that you pick up your brother..

Go and pickup Sweet at the Precinct. The brothers reunite, and Carl explains all the wonderful things that have happened - stakes in a casino, business in Fierro, a mansion, etc. Sweet isn't impressed because Carl has paid little attention towards the hood. He wants to go home now and see what things are like.

Drive Sweet to Grove Street. A basehead tries to sell them a blender - mom's blender! Sweet's healthbar appears on-screen, and you must take back Grove Street from the Ballas and waste any baseheads that are destroying your gang. The baseheads are represented by red blips on the radar. When all of them have been eliminated, attack a group of Ballas to provoke a gang war. Survive three waves of attacks, just like you did in the mission Doberman, and take back the hood. It's quite useful to have a rocket launcher available for this mission, as the Ballas attack in large groups. Sweet makes it clear that Grove Street is his home.

Cut Throat BusinessIMAGE

Madd Dogg is watching the television, when he see's OG Loc performing his new song. Dogg realises that Loc's rhymes were taken from his rhyme book, and expresses his anger. Loc is currently being interviewed and Carl suggests dropping in unannounced.

Get in the BF Injection and take Madd Dogg to the video shoot in Flint County. Carl accuses Loc of stealing his rhymes, and Loc attempts an escape. Get in the vortex and give chase! There's no need to rush, but stay within a reasonable distance of Loc. Eventually you reach the Santa Maria pier, where Loc abandons the Vortex and enters a Go Kart. Get in the Go Kart and continue chasing Loc with Madd Dogg. After a long chase through the city, Loc stops at the Blastin Fools Records building. Madd Dogg threatens Loc and grabs the rhyme book. Meanwhile, Carl talks business with Jimmy Silverman from the records company.

Sweet's bitch is persuading him to take crack. Sweet almost gives in, when Carl interupts and talks some sense into his brother. The girl is angry and says he'll have to deal with B Dup. Carl seems more than happy to do so..

Take Sweet to B Dup's apartment and stop in the red marker. B Dup doesn't answer, and a basehead (wearing Grove Street colours) tells them that B Dup moved to Glen Park a while ago. Sweet threatens him, but Carl talks to Sweet and they decide to spare his life.

Goto Glen Park and provoke a gang war. This is basically a repeat of the mission Doberman. Sweet's health appears on-screen. Survive 3 waves of attacks from the Ballas and take over Glen Park. Once the hood has been taken, waste the ballas guarding the house and go and confront B Dup. B Dup says he doesn't know where Big Smoke is, and that he is paranoid thinking that everybody wants to kill him. B Dup calls Big Bear into the room and orders him to kill the Johnson Brothers. Bear refuses, attacks B Dup, and asks Carl if he can get back on the team. Sweet takes Bear to rehab.

There isn't a lot involved in this mission, to be honest. Sweet is motivating the homies, and they agree that it's time to put Grove Street back on the map. Carl stops him, and says that there's a few other things he'd like to do first. Sweet complains about Carl always leaving jobs half finished. CJ decides to have it Sweet's way, and they head outside..

Take Sweet to Idlewood, which is highlighted purple on the radar. Provoke a gang war with the Ballas, and follow the steps shown here to win the territory. Take the hood, and provoke another gang war in the Idlewood area. Win the territory and take Sweet back to Grove Street, to complete the mission. Sweet gives you your cut - some money that he took from a Ballas gangster, drug money, no doubt. The Ballas are diminishing, and Grove Street are rising once again...

CJ, Sweet, Cesar, Kendl, Truth and Maccer are all glued to the television as Officer Tenpenny enters the courtroom. A news reporter tells the story: Tenpenny and Pulaski have been charged with racketeering, narcotics, corruption and sexual assault. The pair silenced Officer Ralph Pendelbury when he threatened to turn state's evidence, and the same is believe to have happened to Officer Jimmy Hernandez, who recently went missing. At this stage, Pulaski is believed to be on the run, but we all know what really happened to him.

Tenpenny leaves the courtroom, and it is announced that all charges have been dropped, due to a lack of evidence. Riots begin, and Los Santos is up in flames. There is simply no justice in Los Santos.

Take Sweet back to Grove Street safely, so that he can secure the hood. During the journey, they agree to take out Tenpenny by themselves. Watch out for exploding vehicles and rioting pedestrians. However, it's mostly a straight forward drive back to the hood - nothing too challenging.

Sweet is ordering the homies to get the hood locked down. He's still bitching about how little attention CJ paid towards the hood, during Sweet's absence. Cesar enters the room and asks desperately for CJ's help. Cesar helped Grove Street, so now it's time for Carl to help him. His hood is in the same condition as Grove's, and Cesar wants to take it back from the Vagos. Carl explains that he's got his own problems to deal with, and that he made a promise to Sweet. Sweet says he just wants his brother to repay his debts, so Carl decides to help Cesar afterall...

Recruit two Grove Street gangsters, and make your way to unity station to meet some Aztecas veterans. During the journey, Cesar announces that he wants to pop "the question" to Kendl, but he isn't sure if Sweet will go along with it. Carl says he will talk to Sweet, and make sure that it's okay. There are 3 Aztecas veterans at Unity Station - Sunny, Gal and Hazer. Help Cesar and the Varios Los Aztecas clear out the Vagos neighbourhood, which is highlighted yellow on the radar. You musn't let any of the veterans die. The Vagos gangsters have red arrows above their heads, and are represented by the red blips on the radar. When all of the Vagos have been eliminated, head to the alleyway. Sunny destroys the Vagos car using a rocket launcher. Eliminate the Vagos gangsters, and watch out for the one's hiding in the garage. Hazer is badly injured (there is no way of preventing this, unfortunately), and he needs to get to a hospital.

Cesar's house is being guarded by yet more Vagos. One is holding a flame thrower, and another is on the rooftop with a rocket launcher. Use a long-range weapon such as the sniper rifle to get rid of the guy with the rocket launcher, and then fight off any remaining Vagos to secure the Aztecas hood.

Note: You must control at least 35% of gang territory in Los Santos before being able to play this mission. When you have enough territory, Sweet calls to say that he knows roughly where Smoke is hiding. The Vagos started to speak, and Smoke is hiding in East Los Santos, or Los Flores. Smoke is the only person who knows where Tenpenny is. Also, it is highly recommended that you complete the Firetruck Missions before trying this mission, so that you are fireproof. This will prove useful when escaping from the crack factory.

Get in the car with Sweet and drive to Big Smoke's crack fortress in East Los Santos, right on the edge of Los Flores. Stop in the red marker. The Johnson Brothers prepare an attack, but CJ wants to go in alone, as a repayment for the time he abandoned his family. Smoke's crack fortress is heavily guarded, and there is only one way inside. The doors are locked down because of the riots, so you'll need the SWAT tank to smash it down. Kill the guards guarding the crack fortress, and get on the bicycle. Go down to the next street, and get off the bike. Climb the garden fences and make your way towards the SWAT tank. Use the houses and fences as protection, and when you're ready, steal the SWAT tank. Goto to Big Smoke's crack fortress and drive through the wall at full speed, to smash it down. Drive over the Ballas inside the fortress, and make your way to the entrance.

Floor 1: Security Area
Smoke is on the fourth floor in his penthouse suite. You must work your way up the building through three different floors to get to him. Select a powerful weapon, crouch, and make your way upstairs. There is a Ballas gangster upstairs, so be prepared. Kill him, and another rolls out from the left of the hallway. Move forward and take a right turn. Eliminate the Ballas and Vagos gangsters, and continue moving through the crack fortress. There is an armor pickup at the end of the hallway if you need it. Crouch, go through the double doors and take cover behind the boxes. Still using the boxes as cover, waste all Vagos and Ballas gangsters, and a SWAT tank crashes through the window. Kill the SWAT team, and approach the entrance at the opposite end of the room. The gate automatically opens, and there are more attackers inside. Waste them, and again, crouch whilst moving up the stairs. Kill the Ballas gangster at the top of the stairs and collect the health pickup if you require it. Go thorugh the double doors to access Floor 2.

Floor 2: Drug Lab
Crouch as you move upstairs, and waste the Rifa gangster when you reach the top. There's an armor pickup available. Go through the set of double doors and immediately look left. Kill the second Rifa gangster, and make your way to the drug lab. As soon as you enter the drug lab, run east and use the boxes as cover. Eliminate all of the workers, and shoot the explosive barrels to help you. Goto the opposite side of the room and move upstairs, wasting anybody who gets in your way. Follow the path right around the room, and go through the set of double doors. There's another health icon towards your right. Make your way to floor three.

Floor 3: Ballas Lounge
Crouch, go up the stairs and kill the Ballas gangster waiting for you at the top. Get the armor pickup, and go through the double doors. You are welcomed by a Vagos and a Ballas gangster. Waste them, and go through the second set of double doors. The place is crawling with gangsters - leave no survivors. Make your way thorugh the rest of floor three, wasting anybody who gets in your way. Floor 3 contains a statue of Big Smoke, which highlights his success. Go and get Big Smoke!

A cutscene begins and CJ confronts Big Smoke, who is playing a video game in his penthouse suite. Smoke has totally lost it, and has no regrets for what he has done. He picks up a weapon, and prepares to battle CJ. Smoke's health bar is shown on-screen, and Smoke himself has a red arrow above his head. Ballas and Vagos will protect Big Smoke at all costs, so kill anybody that gets in your way. Smoke turns off the lights. Grab the thermal goggles in the corner of the room to help you see properly. Waste Big Smoke, and a cutscene begins. Before dying, Big Smoke says he got caught up the money. Tenpenny, who is feeling a little exposed, enters the room with a suitcase and a gun. Carl is forced to pack the suitcase with money from Smoke's safe. Half the city is looking for cops to kill, so Tenpenny is catching a flight out of the city this evening. Just now, he has a couple of rookies waiting outside in a firetruck. Tenpenny grabs the suitcase, and points a gun at Carl. Carl shouts "Sweet!" to distract Tenpenny, and he misses the shot. Tenpenny makes a run for it, causing an explosion whilst doing so, which destroys the lighting in the building.

Use the night vision goggles that you took from Big Smoke, and make your way down to the first floor of the building. This is where the fireproof mode (gained by beating the Firetruck missions) benefits you. Unfortunately, all the gangsters that you killed on the way up have respawned, so you're going to have to kill them all (or most of them, at least) again. You have 7 minutes to get out of the crack fortress before it explodes. There are one or two fire extinguishers located in the crack fortress. Use them to extinguish the fires that block the exits. When you reach the exit, a cutscene begins and the crack fortress goes up in flames.

Tenpenny gets inside the firetruck, and tries to escape. Sweet dramatically jumps onto the back of the fire truck, but he can't hold on for very long. Follow Tenpenny and make sure that Sweet is safe - stay close to the firetruck and do not lose Tenpenny. Do not attack the firetruck, or you will injure Sweet. Watch out for the Vagos rioters. Fortunately, they won't do much harm, but they will throw explosives onto the road to distract you. Be sure to dodge the burnt out vehicles, and also the oncoming train when you reach tracks. As you approach East Beach, one of the cops attempts to loosen Sweet's grip. Sweet's grip level appears on-screen, and you must save him before it runs out. Simply ram into the back of the firetruck to save him.

Sweet jumps onto the car, takes the wheel, and Carl now acts as the shootist. The car's health meter appears on-screen. Take out the cops on the firetruck, and look behind you. Cops are chasing - puncture their tires, and then shoot at the main body of the vehicle. Eliminate the Vagos rioters on the bridge, and some more will follow on bikes. Aim for their heads, not their bodies, and not the bikes. More police cars will follow. Use the same procedure - puncture the tires and then go for the main body of the vehicle. Tenpenny eventually loses control, and crashes through the bridge above Grove Street. The Johnson brothers meet up with Cesar, Kendl and Truth as Tenpenny says his last words. They decide that it's best not to put a bullet in Tenpenny, and they go inside. Madd Dogg enters with Rosie, Paul and Maccer. Madd Dogg is proud to announce that they have their first gold record. In addition to that, Maccer is planning to get breast implants. That marks the end of the story. San Andreas is yours to explore!
